Did any of the management tell hartley that dyer was on the wing infront of the dugout because it looks as though he hadnt got a clue he was there,i suspect they were ball watching as much as the players

:D Couldn't handle him in first half either. Allowed him far too much space to collect the ball, turn and run at him. As a full back against a speedy winger he didn't have a clue. Either our formation should have changed to counter this or Hartley should have been subbed------had a nightmare!
Many a good tune

It was almost like Dyer had been given the freedom of the park to do what he wanted in his own time

i cant think of one genuine reason why we would change dugouts, looking at the layout of the ground, what is now the away dugout would appear in my eyes to be the one i would want to be in as a manager especially when the captain of the side is a midfielder as it would be easier to relay instructions, certainly the management had the opportunity to marshal hartley from the vantage point that they had but failed to coach him into getting anywhere near him

He had a very good first half. His running and movement off the ball into space was excellent.
A new hope.

The tactics didn't do Hartley any favours last night, he was left exposed with no one in front of him. Our lack of width caused us problems going forward and also defending.

Which might as well be chiselled on this season's headstone, now.

A player like Dyer will always find space no matter what the formation. He's a class player and they can all do it.
I think that Rico will revert now to his most experienced players and they will see us through. Robertson is back in training this week. We have missed him going forward.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

well, having seen the replays now, I'm going to stick up for Hartley. The ball was played forwards by Andrews towards their centre forward, not Dyer. Our central defenders were far too deep and it is them that had switched off. The CF should have been either been offside, or very tightly marked, by Kovacs.
