I'm hearing now that Diego's on his way back to CFC tomorrow.

Apparently he's trialled at both Bristol outfits but no deals done.

Good touting on Reevesey's part, mind.

Maybe he found out he was only there to bolster their U21 development squad, initially to train with the first team squad, accordng to the Bristol Post.

How bizarre is that. He'd be better dropping into non league

I was told from my source (a close one) that the deal was if he didn't make the first team early doors he'd be loaned out to a league one side

with the widow closing at the end of August, he needs to make an almost instant impact, starting in the PSF's.

I agree completely with bonny, it may be the best financial package, but he isn't Gona get anywhere near the first team.

Agents of young lads, like Diego, should have the best interest of their client in mind and shouldn't be chasing the money, they should be chasing the club that's going to give him the most first team action.

On the other hand, the lad might have instructed his agent to get him as much money as possible.

It's quite amazing just how many premiere league academy/u21 players end up leaving that level and end up in the conference or even lower.

He needs to be careful, here; this could make him or totally brake him.

I think the reason Diego's not signed for Bristol City is down to John Pemberton being in the frame for the managers job at Oldham

If the Bristol City thing is dead/delayed you'd assume he wouldn't want to be twiddling his thumbs.

I agree, talk of Steve Robinson (Northern Ireland no2) being strongly fancied so maybe it would be back on if Pemberton stays at Bristol, it's only me putting 2+2 together speculating why he's not signed
