I see you posted a comment on that Peakfans blog. Good luck with that if you deem to disagree with his party line

His heart is in the right place, and I don't mind his writing, but he's blindly optimistic to the point of fault.

Every chance of a demoralising defeat tomorrow, hopefully the newly strengthened batting line will hold firm; same with our defence tonight

Chesney the new spin sensation, would've thought!

Good old Derbyshire thinking up great ways to lose wickets!!

4.0: Wicket. Unbelievable. @ChesneyH22's drive hits the bowler and runs Slater out at the non-strikers'. #DCCC 6-1, trail by 113 #GLOvDER

By all accounts its a road of a track as many others around the country appear to be...still in April and already been 20 100+ scores by batsmen in the CC games!!

Isn't this what was predicted with the away team having the option to bowl first, home team prepares flat tracks.

Maybe the authorities have shot themselves in the foot with that rule change.

I don't like the way he responds to people who take a contrary view; like the response to you

There are two 'Tim, Chesterfield' who comment on there it seems.

Fair play to Chesney, he's seemingly done what he did a couple of years back and done enough in one game to keep his place for the season.

Slater will presumably be out of there when Godleman comes back unless he does something extraordinary soon.

Seems some young lad previously with Yorkshire on trial scored a century for the 2nd XI against Somerset.

Yeah, I had to Google him earlier. We're shy of back up batsman that's for sure - especially in the middle order and he seems to have a little pedigree without having any real chances at Yorkshire. Could be worth a short term contract if he can repeat the runs soon.

Yep would have been nice but suspect he's commanding fees outside derbyshires reach now.

Probably. And we've definitely got our quota of Noo Zillanders for 2016.

He takes some fantastic photos.

Not the only place it seems, the photo Jason Roy took at the Oval was a good one too.

On the game Dad and friend been to all three days and his friend went to Bristol for the full four days....

Early conclusion.....

This season is about not getting beat. Would not surprise me if we did not lose many but drew most and won the odd one.

Welch wants to build a team that gets used to not getting beat. Certainly look stronger in the batting but the bowling has suffered.

Bowling was always going to suffer losing the wickets of Footitt.
