I think Graham and Higgins are Pokemon, with Highins being an extra rare one.

See earlier in thread for explanation.

That explains why Dan Jones is wandering off, hes trying to catch his Pokemon!

The big question though is still, 'Why are we using a retired shirt at all, friendly or not?

Amateurish stuff. I know it's a bit of a nothing thing, but c'mon....I just don't get the thinking behind the decision to use '14' at all.

Because those responsible just...don't...care...

PS: Liam Graham?

Can't help but feel that someone, somewhere, is rubbing his greedy hands together...

Forget centre mid. We need some width. Fed up of seeing players like Gardner stuck out on a wing pretending they can play there.

As for the captaincy it should be Evatt every day of the week. Maybe removing it from Liddle will make him a little less useless.

I suppose it's just another pre season friendly etc...But:

1) Midfield looks suspect
2) The first touch of all the new signings looks poor
3) The lad from Chelsea looks out of his depth

As always I see some people on here are keeping a level head... 2nd pre season game after a late arrival back from Europe against a team that were a whisker off the prem and put out a very strong side... I wouldn't push the panic button yet...

First half was crap, no movement, wide open midfield.

Better when gboly came on, he's fun to watch

Agreed about any over reaction. Wednesday had a strong team out 1st half, and we prob had close to our strongest out too. They were strolling around whilst we watched. Easy 45 mins for them, we were awful. 2nd half much better. On occasion Ariyibi tore them apart, however we are very poor in midfield, it's obvious where we need to strengthen.
Plus points...
Ariyibi
Sam Hird (immense as usual)
Dennis was at least interested

Negatives
No midfield to talk of. It's that bad we should consider bypassing it and play the long ball (oops, we don't have a target man. SEB was anonymous)
No leader, ffs give it too anyone but Liddle.
General atmosphere was like a morgue. Everyone seems depressed and expecting the worst.

And something that really really riled me...the chuffin deedahs in the West Stand, not even attempting to keep quiet. It would only have taken a dozen or so of towns lads to have been there and it would have been entertaining. Deedahs are so chuffin arrogant they think they own the place, God I hate them with a passion.

Errr, one of 'em does.

And that's no way to talk about the Club Secretary, CEO, media man, bloke running hospitality, assorted cronies...

Seems odd that Bet365 were offering in-play betting on a behind closed door game in Hungary yet seemingly no bookie is offering odds for this game.

Not only was it not behind closed doors, it also wasn't a practice match per se as the club have portrayed in the final diary story, if it had been the case we would have been allowed to bring a player back on instead of going down to 10 men after using all our subs. The ref also booked an Appollon player, it was a properly designated friendly that has gone in the record books, see below

Agree. Last season when Wilson took over, we were competitive with all the teams we played against until Morsy left, then we were utterly gutless and shambolic.

Yet we were struggling whilst Morsy was here and we continued to struggle after he had gone!
