Tommy Lee was immense organising the defence and shouting ou things to players, something we've missed dearly.
Sinnott looked much better as well.
Just a quick note about the referee, was alright all game until the end, gave a yellow card purely on what the Port Vale players told him, what a plum.

To be fair to the ref I think the booking was deserved, it was a very reckless dive in by McCourt. He really needs to be careful, if he'd have connected with the Vale player he'd have cut him in half.

I agree, as soon as he went in legs high I thought if you touch him your off, it's the fact he didn't see it and booked him on what he was told by the players made me angry.

Correct. He could have. But the card was shown purely because of the reaction by the Port Vale players and bench. Not because the ref saw it as a yellow card right from the off because he allowed play to continue and never blew for the challenge.
Anyhow.
Caldwell needed that today, strangely enough I think that we still have a couple of more gears yet, so whilst the players are gelling at the moment if we can be within shouting distance of the top teams by Christmas then we can look forward to a successful season. A little mention for Wiseman who looked good today, my MOTM.

We win and you say his tactics are woeful.
Pathetic.
