I thought it must have taken a deflection but he just jumped out the way, shocking, really shocking

I was behind the goal, and that ball seemed to be going to Tommys right then suddenly swerved to his left. I don't know why it did that - maybe a deflection off the wall, but Tommy had no chance.

Watched the free kick over and over again and I still can't see how that one went in. It looked straight forward, no deflection, and it went in central and chest high, truly shocking.
Just think he started to go the wrong way and overbalanced/slipped
I noticed he was shaking his fist at anyone after this one

It swerved violently at the last minute

Someone said in the West stand they were talking to a goalkeeper from Swindon and HE Said the player puts a swerve on the ball in training nearly every time and they can't stop them.
However not only Tommy had a bad game the other 10 were no better, Gardener was ok for 10 mins then went for fancy stuff that wasn't working. The player we got from Huddersfield on loan is a complete waste of time bet he only touched ball half a dozen times, and seemed to be in Ryan's way all the time.
Get rid of him Cooky and get a central defender in

Like Gardner, the Huddersfield lad had a good start to the game and like Gardner when the going got tough he disappeared.
Cook claims he was happy with the team performance in his interview so I don't see much changing

Gobern looks a decent player to me but you can't perform if you aren't fit. He hasn't played since April.

When Cook talks about big decisions this is the one he has to make
He moved Jack on now it's time for Tommy
Just not good enough for this level
His lack of presence in the area unsettles the centre halfs
All last year Evatt was 'playing positional GK' to cover
the lack of presence
Made some good saves but now time to go along with other senior players who have not stepped up to the grade
We have the nucleus of a very good squad BUT the spine is poor from front to back
Last night we came up against a very good team and we lacked all over the pitch
The big disappointment was the lack of effort and fight - something I never thought I would see from a PC team
Let's hope we get it right on Saturday

Ruddy Tommy Lee. Unsettling the centre halves to such an extent that they one had to foul one of their players 30 yards out to stop him and watch Byrne fly past them in the middle of the park time after time.
We lost last night's game because of their runs at us, nothing to do with crosses or play in the box.

2 of the goals were scored inside the box.

We had two efforts on goal, one a good stop, one an easy stop for the keeper. They had five efforts on goal. Lee also produced an excellent stop. Until we have centre halves and and two full backs that stop free entry into our box, no keeper is going to help us. Evatt is showing all the weaknesses some of us foresaw when he came into the side. Slow, mistimed tackles, and too many fouls given away to stop men going past him. Immense, apparently, when it comes to matching forwards meeting crosses. Bit of problem when the opposition don't bother with that malarkey.n

You obviously weren't behind the shot for the first - I was, and it swerved violently making it virtually impossible to stop. I don't know what made it swerve, or whether there was any deflection, but as Tommy was moving to his right where the ball was heading, it suddenly bent a yard in the opposite direction.

It was really strange; I don't think there was a deflection, so I can only assume the taker put some odd spin on it by the way he struck it.
