Just seen a snippet that Mark Palios, ex of FA fame and now Tranmere chairman, says they have turned down two approaches from Evans people for him to join them! No offence to Tranmere but it seems the Championship teams that would be queuing up to take him are non exsistant!

To be honest it looks like a very cynical approach from Evans, " look , here's a club that's fighting for its football league survival, they'll be glad that you choose to resurrect your career with them Ched, a great centre foward to help them stop in the league, they won't bother about your rape conviction"!
