So he’s a w***** because he didn’t join Chesterfield FC? A club he played a few games for but has no allegiance with?
Wow!

I'm glad you get it.

Disappointed he's not signed for us, but good luck to him.

I hope he goes on to become a regular starter for them and they have a successful season because being a squad player in a nothing side will not be compensated with £.

I take this as a positive.

Everyone knows where they stand and Cook can now recruit an alternative front man.

So let's be adult, harbour no resentment towards a lad who's simply signed the best deal available, wish him well and remember the thrilling few weeks he was part of at the end of last season...

Good luck to him, I hope he does well. Personally, I think it’s one division too far. Similar to Kabby who was a regular 80+ minute sub after leaving us with 0 goals.

Some of you need to seriously give your heads a wobble. Absolute babies. Got the best deal for himself 2 leagues higher; thanks for his efforts and good luck to him. We move on. Simple.

For what it's worth Dallas put a really nice message on Instagram along the lines of how much a pleasure it was to play for us and that he will remember the love he felt forever.

I don't get this hostility towards him, if he'd joined another national league club I could have half understood it but he's joined a club 2 leagues higher so good luck to him.

Weirdly no message for Solihull though :P

There is 100's of strikers out there at the same Dallas level, Cook & the team just needs to unearth one and convince them to sign up.
Would have been a good fit as played a decent roll tail end of last season and would have been relaxed and used to plying his trade at the club - he had the momentum to carry on where he finished here, but that's football.

Think there’s more to it than that. Convince his current club to let him go, convince his agent and family it’s the right thing for his career, convince our board that it’s the right price for the quality and stave off other club’s interests.

Will we see the first ‘recruitment room’ acquisition, or someone again already known to our management team?

The next few weeks will reveal more- even though we were willing to sign you know who a few weeks ago, I can see no movement now until we see how things are panning out in the new season.

'convice them to sign' was in a nut shell - I get that there is more to just spotting a player and signing on the dotted line 5 minute job 😁
I think you're right that we probably not gonna see an alternative striker immediately through the door.
We have scored a lot of goals and created some good opportunities.
Some might even say Dallas could have been an unnecessary wage when goals have been flying in over preseason without him
and we will hopefully see Asante back soon too.

Surely movement OUT must be key to what happens next.
We're on our way

Football is a short career , and nobody can blame Dallas for looking for the best deal for him and his family. To get a 3 year deal with a League 1 side, who narrowly missed out on promotion is a great move for him, and i wish him all the success.

Time now to focus on the players we have got , and get out of this league this season!!!
