AS a big Mike Jones fan I'm getting seriously worried about the performances that Oldaker is putting in. He had a decent game at Hartlepool, but I still thought he was just filling in until Jones came back. Now I can't see how he can be dropped - he was immense yesterday, even discounting the goal.
Seems like nobody in the squad can afford to miss a game or play at less than 8 out of 10 mode or they'll have to be winning their place back. The training must be something else, since it's dragged Dobra out of the early season doldrums and turned the very average looking Oldacre into the next Samy Morsy. I hope we've seen the last of his disappearing from games, or passing direct to the opposition, but just lately he's been terrific.
WE need to start matches the way we finish then. Up to their goal we were just strolling about and ball watching, and we paid for it. I didn't think it was a foul on Palmer that led to it, the contact looked no more than ordinary penalty box contact.
The Ref was the best this season by a mile.

So what is there to worry about then?

We couldn’t have done a lot of strolling around and ball watching. They scored after 3 minutes!

Nothing, if the only problem is a player getting 9/10 replacing a player that can be counted on to get 8/10.

However, I did notice Naylor seemed to be struggling with a niggle for the last 20 minutes or so but it still didn't stop him getting about the pitch and laying the 4th goal on for Dobra. Naylor is a key man in this team and certainly not one we would want to have a few games out.

Freckleton also seemed to pick up an injury to his leg so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Horton back against Solihull.

Well the goal woke them up, but three minutes , or 30 seconds for that matter, can be vital. Need to come out of the blocks quicker, especially as the tactics of most sides will be to grab a quick goal and hang on.

Well noticeable with Naylor, but at least two if not three of the subs happened after he started to struggle so you would assume he felt it was nothing to worry about!

I think other teams would be wiser to take their time, rather than coming out of the blocks so quick. Our only 2 defeats have come after we were 1-0 up.

Looked like his groin.
God I hate this league.

This team knows how to win, and the way they go about it is very pleasing on the eye. Every player has bought into the project, including those on loan here, so the dressing room must be a great place to be at the moment.
I know one Christmas present all Spireites wants, and that's promotion with Cookie at the helm. We've had some bad times recently, and said our last goodbyes to some great ex players, but we're on the up and it's a nice feeling for us all, so I wish everyone involved in our great club be it management, player or fan a very merry Christmas COYB.

Looked like it was his knee from the initial contact/stretch which then became calf with the second one.

Given his age and fitness and the time of the incidents I wouldn't be surprised if he's out for fortnight or so.

Hopefully I'm wrong as he did ok despite a couple of dodgy decisions when he was caught in two minds. He needs to go for the straightforward and defensive options first. Row Z is fine.

Definitely groin, but Webb pre Solihull saying all good to go.

Ok thanks. He seemed to be feeling his knee and then his lower leg when the two things happened.

I don't get your point. With this team and manager you lose your spot you have to earn it back. DJ got his chance and took it, and is playing well. Are you saying he should be dropped?

I don’t think people lose their spot then have to earn it back. The team will be picked on opponents, for example Horton, who’s been superb recently was not even on the bench v Aldershot due to the management thinking Freckleton would fit the shape of the opponents better.
