If it doesn't work out with the football for some reason, I'd definitely put him on guitar in an early 90's baggy covers band with me singing. Blur, Inspiral Carpets, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, The Charlatans.

We'd go down a storm!

(I reckon the footie'll work out though!)

Tim Burgess for me ;)

This every day of the week.
Development can turn to profit either on the pitch or monetary wise.
But you still have to have a blend with experience with the right attitude.

Grigg has yet to prove he's not going to be an expensive flop and a burden for 3 yrs, I've not seen too much from him so far to say he's not, but hopefully he starts to find his feet in the team and the goals start to flow soon.

He's not on loan, he's gone on a permanent deal.

Cheers for clearing that up, because I'd been told the deal was a loan till the end of the season. Good luck to the lad because there is a footballer of quality in there, he just needs to believe it.

You didn’t go to the first game then!!

His movement was very good, control good, brought other players into the game. Downside was when he made the runs we didn’t release the ball to play him in. That was more of an issue for the other players not him.
If you judging him on not scoring then yes he didn’t. If you judged him on anything else during that game you’d had some ale.
He will do just fine have faith, far too early to suggest he may be an expensive flop.

Well said! He's played a single competitive game, well (in my opinion) but didn't score. I suppose it will depend on your definition but he certainly doesn't scream flop to me.

One league game. That’s all. We can worry in October if we need to.

Yes, I think he had a decent game, but the lack of service was there for all to see, because he was dropping deeper to pick up the ball as the game wore on.

I feel the obvious great opportunity this season gives us to return to EFL is playing into Cooks hands, why we are recruiting lower league talent IN SUCH A MANNER is a strange one.
God I hate this league.

Many are looking at his goal return over his best season at Wigan. Do we assume that was a flash in the pan and he’s playing as a link man in the box?

How many he gets will depend how we play and how quickly we play the ball into him.
I think at the minute his mind is working quicker than some of those around him. All will need to adapt but he will do fine.
Irrespective of the negativity of some fans, for us he’s currently a 1 in 2 striker.
