Non starter, every away end in the country gets people congregated together at the back of whatever stand you're in.

Always plenty of seats in the wide areas to sit down if you have to or to get an area not too rammed to be comfortable.

Not really sure what's precious about a code on a ticket you didn't even choose anyway - better atmosphere is massive to benefit the players being cheered on.

Let’s adopt that attitude at home games😂 Why shouldn’t someone at pitchside to take someone else’s seat with a much better view

you're not picking your view at an away game, they're randomly allocated?

Well that is irrelevant and that is not always the case anyway

At Watford I had three attempts to get a decent looking seat only to find some ass in my seat who obviously had a seat he didn’t like

Pointless if, like at Oldham, the stewards/police let people sit anywhere. (And allow them to block gangways and stairwells and bring flares in the ground!)

Yep, I've bought 6 and I know of another 4 in corporate.😇

Well why wouldn’t they let people sit where they wanted at Oldham it was unreserved seating , I certainly didn’t have a seat number on my ticket.

All for letting folk just go where they want, usually happens anyway and by and large never causes too many issues.

I got bought 5 tickets together for York for example, but they aren't seated together despite being bought at the same time, in the same envelope etc so for sure we will be standing together near the back like most others will

Because every ground has its fair share of idiots who probably can’t read a ticket?

We have 7 tickets numbered together but at a lot of grounds the stewards tell you to sit anywhere, Hartlepool was a prime example.

Allowing folk to sit where they want is fine where demand doesnt exceed supply.

York is supposedly a sell out, a large number will have tickets allocated with friends and family - People sitting where they want potentially stops this from happening (unless you make a conscious effort to get to the ground as early as possible).

Correct. If its allocated seating then stick to your seat. If some obstropolous *** is sat in your allocated seat then you have to find an alternative which 5 minutes later the ticket holder for your newly claimed seat arrives and the whole cycle starts again. And whilst all this happens what does the root cause of this hassle, the stewards do? well for minimum wage as little as possible. It wouldn't happen at Woking there'd be firing squads at the ready!

If someone’s in my allocated seat they have about 2 seconds to move their fat ass off it….

They can but someone’s already sat in their seat, they’ve tried to relocate to somewhere more accommodating and they’re struggling to find anywhere else because the away end is virtually full and the stewards have zero interest in helping you reclaim your designated seat. Surely you wouldn’t man handle someone like that, you’d just do what the rest of us would do, shrug our shoulders and find somewhere else?

Best to get back onto the subject (to a degree). Bearing in mind this is a ticket thread, could you consult with you university (probably spurious) mate famed for using CFC as an example of how not to run a business. Ask him if Yorks absolute balls up re distributing tickets to all and sundry at give away prices just to justify not letting away fans paying full price have them as they originally stated, just to save face. Couple this with the sh.. show at oldham were they were willing to turn customers away throw thousands £ away, for, who really knows?

Anyway will these 2 balmy clubs be candidates for a further thesis on how not to run a business by your university educated mate?
