I have just watched the Tom Whelan sending off again and the referee in this game should give Anthony Taylor a call and ask why he didn’t think it was correct to not even book James Tarkowski for exactly the same high boot in the Burnley v Newcastle game at the weekend. Identical action with two different outcomes. And the league turned down the CFC appeal!
Crazy, but that’s football

Not the law though.
“Playing in a dangerous manner is any action that, while trying to play the ball, threatens injury to someone (including the player themself) and includes preventing a nearby opponent from playing the ball for fear of injury.
A scissors or bicycle kick is permissible provided that it is not dangerous to an opponent.”

Bludddy silly.
That means that Tarkowski could not have cleared it with his head either, or is that less dangerous?

Is one of ours inured or has Przybek had his loan cancelled?
Smith went down injured late on - assumed it was tactical ploy
