I think a wage in the region of what Gary Roberts was earning, or certainly something close to what we were to prepared to pay that lump Higdon, may just get him here. Probably with bonuses attached. The board have an opportunity here to appease a little.

He said he's interesting in signing permanently and whilst that's obviously cash dependent he doesn't strike me as someone who'd chuck out cheap soundbites to keep fans onside.

Here here.*
Similar to the Jack situation.
If he does sign, I hope he moves local. I think we had 4 travelling up from Brum - Novak, Herd, Dion, Seb -and it's not ideal.
* Edit. Just decided to look this up. Shows what I know.
'The correct term is, "hear, hear!" It is an abbreviation for "hear, all ye good people, hear what this brilliant and eloquent speaker has to say!"'

Not convinced it's meant Dave, but will take the compliment! 😉

What else could Novak have said when Peak asked if there was a chance he'd be here next season?

He could do a lot better than any of those mentioned, us included.

Wouldn't disagree, but in terms of being a biggish fish in a little pond, with a club with a bright future, and closish to his home... they might suit him.

He could quite easily have said he has no idea where he will be next season or that it wouldn't be discussed until the end of the season. Jimmy Ryan never said he'd like to stay here next season (last season) so it's quite easily done especially if you're a loan player.

Northampton will assume an aging Marc Richards is good enough for League 1. I hate to disappoint them!

As I understand it they thought they could get him for 100k and were then qouted 500k?
He won't be coming to us anyway that's for sure, we can't afford a fee whatever it is

But why pay him off yet when someone might just sign him?
