Has the resident tipster even been close to picking a winner yet?

They’ve been running terribly this month, I’m getting an early start on next Saturdays.

Lovely afternoon at Stratford yesterday - ladies day - well, they were wearing dresses so I presumed they were ladies.

I’ve never been, it’s nicer at Warwick though surely and they have bigger race days there. I don’t pay much attention to summer jumps meetings although it’s probably easier to find a winner at Stratford than it is to go through the opening declarations of next Saturdays 3,00 Heritage handicap at Ascot trying to work out whose the best handicapped n I’ve already made shortlists of the 3 easier races on that card and given myself a headache in the process.
I do these races like puzzles, I can work out what should win the race but more often than not something else wins cos racings as bent as a £7 note, that’s why I only have small stakes, free bets n such like and also why I don’t bet every day, only Saturdays for me unless there’s a festival.
These are just my selections, they’re not tips, ya can lay em if ya want, you will have made a few quid if you’d layed em.

Lovely course and if you go to the centre course and head to the back straight you can watch the chasers jump some of the best fences in UK racing.

It’s a shame they don’t get better quality racing, but the meeting on the Monday before the festival is a lovely day out.

Park on the brow of the hill next to the vet for the best position in the centre of the course. It is a bit bleak though now and they have moved one of the fences. However, really like the course and they have an excellent stable staff cafe Joe Public can use.

Not a fan of Warwick any more - over priced and full of drunks. Their New Year's Eve meeting is best avoided.

You could say that about most race courses these days, it started to happen years ago when they let the riff raff in and they’ve got gradually worse year after year.

Quick early one for Thursday at 3.00 Artistic Star 4/1 win.

As someone who is off to Worcester tonight, I would much rather be at Warwick!

God forbid - now there is a dump of a course albeit through no fault of its own.

New Jockeys room could be smart, but the whole place needs massive investment. Can’t grumble though, got O&T tickets and had a few winners.
