Don't understand. What's the problem with this?

As quoted by the Club

Quote

“It’s the first time we’ve had to change the configuration of the stadium so that it is no longer the ‘away’ stand. We’re going to keep the away fans in a section of the Karen Child (East) Stand.”

And then they moan about the flack they get

Some of us thought it was ill thought out in the 1st place, should have just carried on as it was last season, without selling the ST's in there..

If its not broken, don't try and fix it.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

15% sounds like lots of games with over a thousand tickets we can't sell to home fans to me.

Imagine winning the league with 50 maidenhead fans and 1500 empty seats we can't sell... bonkers!

Is there a rule that says we can't charge away clubs for ones they don't sell?

We can sell them, we just have to initially ask the away club if they can sell 15% of the tickets. If they can’t, which most won’t then it’ll reduce accordingly.

Oldham will fill the North Stand. Move the few hundred (if that) Town fans from North to East stand. Give them a complimentary pie and boveril - no issue. Well if they can get served that is 😂😂😂😂

Yeh wtf you on about ? Like all clubs we’ll pass on further tickets if the demands there.

Weren't they sold on the basis they'd be reallocated elsewhere for the few away capacities that needed the full north stand?

Edit: I've just checked the initial announcement and doesn't mention that. Does anyone else remember seeing something similar?

That will never happen.

Tickets are sold to away fans in batches and they have to commit to paying for them whether sold or not. Happened at Scunny last season with side allocation where we decided not to take the further allocation.

Man alive you are so clueless. In this very thread there are the NL rules showing that tickets sold by the away team are on a sale or return basis.

I'm genuinely baffled how somone can be so absolutely sure about something and so very wrong at the same time.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

I’m sure I read that the league rules had changed in the last 2 weeks and we have to offer every club at least 15% of the capacity. Hence the need to move the handful of ST holders from North to elsewhere.

This ☝️ The FA, not the league. Only communicated to leagues/clubs 2 weeks ago. It's brought the league into line with the FA cup.

Statement now issued by the club (presumably after the prompt of this thread).

Matches where team request more then the E1+2 can hold, North Stand ST holder will be moved to 'higher grade' seats.

That'll also explain why the North isn't available for general sale for any home game, currently.

I cant see what the issue is with this personally? 15% is the max we have to allocate. The club will speak to all teams coming to us and ask if they think they can sell the 15% allocation.. If they can very rare occasion, they will be allocated it. The rest of the teams visiting will be in E1 and E2? No issue here what so ever.

Could they request eg 1200 (york/Rochdale, maybe) too many for the east stand and leaving 500 empty seats in the North stand

Think it likely that any club thinking they’ll get a following of 900+ will ask to be accommodated and so that’ll mean the North Stand. We’d expect our club to do the same in fact there’d be an outcry if we didn’t
Accentuate th Positive, eliminate the negative

Be anything over 600 they'll be moved into the North Stand. E1 and E2 is 600 tickets full. Which i cant see happening more than 3/4 times this season.. Oldham, York, maybe Rochdale (depending on league form), Southend (again depending on league form).
