Good game, two different teams for us in each half apart from Jordan stayed on for 90 minutes,4 trialists i think 1st half with the number 9 sticking out the most,a coloured lad,not bad at all.
Chief scored a good goal,we should have had more with a bit of luck, especially second half, don't know where our only recognised midfielder was though,Niven !

Jackson put himself about a bit second half,at least we will have more nouse up front this coming season,Lester is a fiery player, should have had a penalty early on but i think the ref was a Forest fan :D

I don't know what the attendance was but it was a fair turnout, with Blathers a bit emotional.

We deserved the win but that was secondary to the day,Forest,i thought wanted strong sides,i think we delivered that not sure about Forest though.

Well done Blathers, with a great touch to get the game under way.....

Wish I'd been there, unfortunately prior arrangements prevented me turning up. Were the trialists named SB? If so who were/are they?

Lester played very well, dangerous all half.

Jackson plays best up front, looked v.good.

Appropriately, Gray seems to be in the same mould as Blathers. All 4 CB's did well.

I liked the look of Robertson, good on the ball, and effective passing.

Davies and Shaw were nice suprises, Shaw especially looked assured and comfortable in the CM role.

Fletch didn't really have much of a say.

Lowry, Chief, Ward, Picken, Law and Jordan all played well enough.

As for the trialists;

The second half winger (Nick Wright?) was woeful minus one or two decent passages of play. No-go.

The entire midfield was made up of trialists in the first half. Anthony McParland? was on the right wing...diminuitive, nippy, but tried too much, and often got found out.

The big black lad in the center looked alright. Tough, while getting stuck in, though sometimes a little over enthusiastic.

The lad next to him didn't really do much, but for some tidy short passes around midfield.

The number 9 Folan look-a-like on the left wing looked ok. He can take people on, and he was quick and strong, but his crossing wasn't the best.

Out of the trialists, I'd maybe take a look at McParland and the Left Winger, and maybe even the strong lad in the center.

Forest were poor, and didn't look bothered. The goal was a good through ball from the left-back position by Law, converted very well by Chief. The second half team looked a lot more effective than the first. A good work out, I'm sure.

They were named yes, but,i cannot remember them, the number 9 was a funny name, couldn't possibly pronounce it,another one was McParland,i heard a Nick Wright mentioned,he looked a bit like Folan :D as for the others not a clue.

Gilberto Ferrero was in the middle
Anomi was the one outwide on the left (1st half)
Nick Wright was on the right (2nd half)
the others i cant name but the one with the short hair i didnt rate.

Learnt that Lester has to start i think he's our 20 goal man (least i hope he is)

Black lad in centre was best of trialists but didn't look the most mobile of players (could be fitness)

Lester and Ward looked sharp in their respective halves. Lester will be player of season. Thought Shaw looked ok in midfield. Roberrtson looked better than folks on here who had him wrote off thought he would be. I personally thought Jackson looked like a light weight again.

Good summary SB

I thought the trialists looked good. I'm looking forward to seeing if anything materialises with any of them. The new signings looked excellent, although I'm hoping to see Winter on Tuesday night.

Forest were poor though.

An excellent day for Blathers and it was fully deserved!

You usually don't see him without Dec.

Many there? Crap weather and kick-off time can;t have helped.
