I am looking to run a world cup prediction competion subject to sufficient interest
Closing date for entrants to finalise groups will be 5pm on Sunday 10th June, people can still enter after this time up till the first game kick off subject to there being multiples of 4 for a group.

Its nice and easy, all you have to do is predict the scores of matches and I do the rest but for those who want to know how it works, see the rules below.

Bobs Board Head to Head Prediction World Cup Rules

Players will be placed in groups of 4 just like the group stages in the world cup and guaranteeing everyone at least 3 head to head games to predict.
More details on group structures will be confirmed when final numbers entered are confirmed but looking at seeding with 14 groups of 4.
Pot A Division 1 players or highest ranked Division 2 players
Pot B Division 2 players or highest ranked Division 3 players
Pot C Division 3 players or first come new entrants
Pot D New entrants

Predictions will need to be submitted before each game kicks off. Any submissions after a game has kicked off will not be accepted.
Head to heads will be published at the same time as the fixtures.
Scores will be added up and the results posted on Bobs board after the completion of each round of fixtures.
The first league table will be posted after the second game is completed

The table will be determined by the team with the highest number of points from the head to head games. If players are level on points then places will be determined by prediction points scored. If the prediction scores are level the place in the table will be determined by the head to head of both players. If the head to head was a draw then there will be a penalty shoot out from first predicted game down until a clear winner.

Scoring
Correct score for both teams 3 points
Correct result but not correct scores 1 point
Incorrect result 0 points
Identified Bankers will score double points scored eg 3 x 2=6, 1 x 2=2

If you feel I have added up your score incorrectly, please post on the results thread and I will check and amend if required, or clarify.

If any more people wish to enter they will go in a waiting list to make a group of 4
Please only enter if you are willing to predict for all games to respect the integrity of this competition, but remember its just for fun and bragging rights

All players need to reply to the relevant thread to confirm they wish to be entered into the draw.

Stage 1
Each round in the group stages will consist of all round 1, 2 and 3 games with relevant head to head fixtures and games to predict posted on Bobs Board

Each person will need to predict the score for both teams in the games identified and identify 2 games as bankers which will score double points.
Each player will go head to head with all players in their group with the top 2 qualifying to stage 2.

Stage 2
Players will predict scores for all games in round of 16, Q/F, S/F, third/fourth playoff and final a total of 16 games. Players will be able to select 3 games in the 16 as their bonus games(choose carefully) One game can also be chosen as their joker which will be a triple point score.(this is to maintain interest of all players right to the end)
A table will be produced based on points scored with the winner being the player with the highest number of prediction points after the final game

Have passport will travel
