Obviously a few friendlies are necessary, but 4 perhaps 5 at the most should suffice rather than 8 or more.

Years ago they seemed to have 3 maybe 4 friendlies, now it’s twice as many, it’s like a mini season before they have even kicked off competitively. No wonder they are knackered and injured before they start.

For all (what some people insist) his flaws as a player (although I have never been one of them) Jamie always comes over as a top bloke. With him, Danny and PC (when he deigns to do media) we are blessed with some great communicators. Bet many clubs wish they were as blessed.

I hope he’s a damn sight better than Oldaker.

Great signing. Just hope he doesn’t get injured which is always a fear for recent town players. Now need 2 or 3 more of similar quality. Preferably a striker and 1 or 2 quality midfield players. There is also the right back problem.
