Yet another month has passed, nearly half way through another one, 9 days and the nights start pulling in 7 weeks to the start of another season and still no news. the Club hopes that it will be ready for the start of the 2006/7 season what the ground, planning permission or media statement? This club moves so slowly that if it went any slower it would stop.

And some people were getting itchy feet because we hadn't signed anyone this time last week, too!

It's a bit like moving house, everything goes quiet for ages then suddenly everything happens at once. Don't panic!

I expect that we are waiting on the Local Plan.

This is a local authority proposal that guarantees a new stadium. The consultation process has just ended but there has been some slippage on the time-scale due to the notification process and the number of responses.

While the original time-scale suggested an opening at the beginning of 2007 it might be more sensible to aim for the start of the 2007-8 season.

For spireiteblue- there does seem to be work on the site at present. Much of the rest of the A61 corridor area has clearance work going on.

Must be on your side then i don't see much happening over here, apart from bits dropping off from a great height,if nothing else is done surely the site could be demolished, its never going to be used again.
