glad 2 see we are getting the decks cleared..we dont need 3 or 4 coaches..2 many cooks spoil the broth..everyone has a different approach 2 life.. must be the same with football !!!my friend thinks downes is great.. i personally think he is rubbish..he watches the ball 2 much and not the man? my opinion? MANAGER, No 2 and no more we are are a 4th divison club we need 2 spend most of our budget on players THATS were it all matters on the pitch ,,,you can have the best on the sidelines but they are not kicking the ball about[ie KEEGAN..DALGLIESH..HODDLE.GUILLET]ITS HARD WORK BEING A MANAGER..!!!!!!!! can anyone justify givin chief a 1 year contract,,,should be no sentiment on our BUDGET,,, :blink:

Yes but if you only have one coach and he doesn't know a great deal about defending is it not plausible the team may not develop as well defensively? Plus thats one person trying to coach 11-20 players. If you have 3 coaches thats 1 coach per 4-7 players. More coaches give you more different opinions and more different ways of doing things, which isn't always a bad thing.

I don't disagree with the reasons for allowing the Chief to leave, I just think you need a number of coaching staff. However, in Div 2 with limited budgets I appreciate its difficult to bring in a number of backroom staff without affecting your budget for playing staff.

No point in having someone around who doesn't really want to be there.

:ninja: Yes and with all this backroom staff we've seen some real posiitive changes in our play haven't we? Think not! Don't disagree with the theory really, but we just don't have the right people.

These kind of appointments take time to come to fruition. There not quick fix solutions. I actually agree that the backroom team is a step in the right direction for the club, whether we have the right personnel is too early to tell.
