Well this is a big well done,
lessons were learn't today I think?
Well done Roachy, yes he was nervous but apart from a couple of dodgy punches
a couple of excellent saves thrown in - you didn't deserve the booing when the team was read
out, shame on those who did, that did no one any favours.
well done to the team as a whole, a gutsy performance, Downsey was more assured, Leven
back to his old self, Lloyd Kerry a very solid game.
The black cats, very strong didnt look out of place.
finally to Rico and Scotty, well done I thought tactically aware today, thought we used the conditions
well both halves.
Finally to the faithfull, you were magnificent, the barracking of the linesman on the compton was justified
the baiting of the Brentford players- rattled a few of em.
Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
lets keep it running blues
thats all folks!!!

More evidence today that the theories of the ruthless PolPots on here, those that claim to be speaking for the majority of real fans and are demanding executions, are phoney.

Mild booing for Downes and Roache, but only before the game.
No 'Rico out' chants.
Ovation for Leven when he had to come off.
Not a squeak from Fishi.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Bazza was bound to have a good game, his parents had come across to give him some support. Lets hope they're across until May.

To be honest, I thought he had a decent game against the Posh except the blunder and didn't deserve to be dropped.

I agree. He should have been 'rested before xmas, when he looked tired.
Just watched the Championship and judging from some of the blunders on there, we have a worldbeater.

Do you think Rico weighed up the chances of getting something at Hereford, decided they were slim with all the injuries, and decided that this would be the perfect game to rest him?.

Good. Knew we'd win if I missed it. Think we've won the last 3 I've not seen at home over 2 seasons.

It was a big test for us yesterday. On the back of a terrible run of form we played against a fully committed side that were quick in the tackle and played a tactic of launching it the box and trying to force a mistake (Reminded me of us under Duncan). My fear was that knowing our defence, that mistake would come gift wrapped with an extra incentive of a 2 for 1 offer.

We rode our luck at times (Roche's one on one save and Downes's sloppy back pass), but we worked hard, tried to play it on the ground when we could and fully deserved the 3 points.

Yes it was scrappy and at times not pleasant to watch, but we beat a good side. Unbeaten this year and very hard working. I thought their ginger haired lad in the centre had a great game (Think he might have been Number 20), he kept their tempo high and had a great first touch.

What was pleasing for me was the result, effort of the players and the clean sheet.
If only....

I was looking on their forum and they're claiming we cheated by not using ball boys 2nd half. Did we?!

The multiball system was stopped, I think. There was a point when we had a throw, late first half, near their dug-out. It took a while longer than usual to get the ball to Picken for him to take it and their manager complained. I wouldn't be surprised if that caused the system to be abandoned.

Funny old game football on another day Roches dodgy punches would have fell to oppostion players led to a goal and roche wold be the villain again .Downes too made a couple o slight mistakes early on which in other games would have meant we went one nil down sometimes lady luck plays a big part in a teams or an individuals fortunes. To be fair though im not a great fan of Roche but yesterday he deserves praise he commaded his box much better so good luck to him for the rest of the season
Smelling like a brewery,looking like a tramp

 About time players got to grips with how the multiball system works. No good accepting a ball from the ball boy when the original ball is on the field of play------just gets up the refs nose so he stops the system.
Many a good tune

It's perhaps time the ball boys also got to grips with it
