Would like to see him instead of Picken when he's fit!

I wouldnt have been surprised had he been 'rested' after the trip to Edgar Street... he had a dreadful game.

Sat behind us in the stands with John Pemberton and Chris Woods. Looked peed off but I'm sure he will come back the stronger. Where he will fit in I don't know. Picks is finding his old form at RB and although I would have liked to see Moloney at LB that Hartley had a good debut. Can't see him taking Lowrys position but may be he could fit in at wide left midfield. We know he has energy and a cracking shot.

Saw Woods, isn't he the goalkeeping coach at Everton? Watching their keeper?
Pemberton's at Forest.

Mostly when Picks wasn't playing.First clean sheet in a while on Saturday mainly due to a change at LB.

Mainly due to Brentford not captalising on our mistakes I'd say! Downes x 2, Roche and Picks where the main culprits! Picks wasn't really a mistake but gets himself in awlful positions sometimes!

Picks is still our best DEFENSIVE RB. Before his injury I'd got him a close 2nd behind Kovacs for MOTM on many occassions. The likes of Lowry and Moloney are impressive going forward but lack that defensive nowse.

I agree on your assessment of Jamie and to a lesser extent maybe Maloney as we haven't seen much of him at right back. But this has nothing to do with your first post stating that Picks return and Robbo's absence was the key factor for the clean sheet! Picks played on the opposite flank to Robbo so bears no fruit!
Personally I would like to see Maloney r/b with both attempting to get down that flank and covering for each other! Picken on the other hand doesn't have much to his game other than defending and I find this questionable! Ok he didn't have a bad game but I feel with him he's not got much more up his sleeve and gets caught out to far up the pitch. If we do play him at right back he has to stick to this one task; which strengthens us on one hand but weakens us on the other. Cloughie would have got the best out of Picks as he would have played him solely to his strengths and he wouldn't have been allowed out of his zone other wise he would have felt the full wrath of Ol big ed!
