Heard a rumour last night that Lester had a major bust-up with Rico along the lines of 'you dont know what youre doing' and stormed out, and that was why he was missing on Saturday ie not through injury

;) If it were true, a top pro like Jack should realise its better to put up a construtive argument to achieve what he wants. I believe there would be quite a few heated arguments between our senior pro's and Rico, nobody can be happy the way things are going.
Many a good tune

What's the likelihood of this being true? and if so how reliable is your source?

I dont think you can construe this as news, as everyone except Hubbard knows richardson doesnt know what he is doing!

In my opinion while its a rumour that could easily be created and believed by others, it is also realistic. I mean it would be Chesterfield all over, if our best player fell out with the manager. It's never an easy ride is it

May not be a grain of truth in it but make no mistake JL has a notoriously short fuse. I have no doubt that he's the type of character who would test the man-management capabilities of a far more experienced manager than Rico.

...And to be honest, if I was Jack Lester I wouldn't be overly happy with the current situation.

If you were 10 times better than any of your other employees at the same job, but your job satisfaction was suffering as a result of their short-comings, would you be happy? Especially if your boss doesn't have the relevant know-how to make up for their short-comings.

Does anyone know Jack Lester on a personal level?

There is also a possibility that Jack Lester enjoys playing for Chesterfield FC and under Rico. He has the security of a 3 year contract, lives local to the club, is most likely well paid and is having a great season scoring loads of goals in a side that is generally attack minded.

Oh and he is also hero worshipped.

How can it be 100% reliable if he only heard it second hand himself?!

Rumours are often just a bit of fun - like discussing what new players we are not going to get.. but something like this and unless it is proven, is best left alone.

It could be third, fourth or fifth hand, I don't know. We all know how a story can change each time it is passed on. The person who told me is reliable and very well-informed on club matters, but not the original source. It's a rumour not a fact.
