At least he'll spot a couple of ugly centre backs who know how whack someone and spot a flying winger that can be turned in to decent fullback

I'm not sure interviews were a result of it being advertised. I know one named scout who didn't know anything about this post....clarification needed please.

I'm with you on this one, my friend.

Rumour has it the position hasn't been advertised in what might be dubbed professional circles leading to the suspicion another crony might get the gig.

I wouldn't trust Carson to interview for a paper round. Surely even those lickspitals on the bum kissing forum realise that Carson can't be trusted?

Gary Caldwell has formed an idea of the recruitment department he’d like to see set up at the Proact. The club are currently looking to appoint a chief scout or head of recruitment, to fill the gap left by Paul Mitchell in April 2016. “I need to find someone I can give that responsibility to and that’s his role to set up a department with regional scouts, getting information in, getting a database of players we watch regularly,” said Caldwell. “Then it comes to myself and the first team staff so we can go and watch players – rather than going in blind, just taking a game in – we can pinpoint certain players who have come through a process that has earmarked them as potential signings for this club.” Caldwell was ‘amazed’ the club had nothing in place when he arrived.

A good manager knows who's about. Cook didn't have a scouting set up at Accy but he did ok there and here - maybe a bit of luck?

Oversaw his own mum being made redundant as part of 'cost cutting'?

Have I got that right?

Dunno if that means accusations of nepotism are misplaced or the recently sacrificed Turner should consider himself in good company...

But further down the line he offered his mum other posts..I wonder if that followed a full and proper selection process?

I have just watched a box set of the Sopranos so "whacking" someone is the obvious solution for Ashley, mother, brother or CEO, no matter

THANKYOU!

I've been trying to put a name to the face ever since he walked passed on the steps.

And for what it's worth he was welcomed by a track suit clad member of the CFC staff after initially taking a seat in the end section.

It was Dylan Kerr, sat with him all game.

They were team mates briefly at Donny in the early 90s.

Dylan Kerr was at the speakeasy last week, if you get a chance to talk to him about his footballing career then do it's very interesting. Witch doctors in south Africa to cantona at leeds.

Currently scouting for Scunthorpe. Left a previous position at Wigan in January and a former scout at Sheffield United and Huddersfield.

I'll leave Lindave to judge if Lemon is qualified or not.
