He also goes on to say this:
He's clearly a clever player, I expect we'll see him up front on his own at times, then playing behind Grigg in the 10 role at others.....

.......then moving up front on his own from the 10 role to replace Grigg at other others?
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

I see Madden as operating in a similar way to Mandeville, Dobra, Berry or Colclough.....

.....thinking on, I think Madden is most similar to Danny Rowe in terms of recent comparison. He's technically adept at control, shielding, heading, shooting, and passing, and doing whatever is right in the moment. Dribbling's not in his repertoire.

Madden isn't a player that I know a huge amount about. His Stockport goals video show someone who is adept at making very smart, late positional shifts of position in the box to lose his marker to enable him to score. His headed goals and penno box goals almost always come from him moving in then back out. His teammates seem to know he'll do that. With the likes of our smart and creative footballers such as Mandy, Jacobs, Naylor, Colclough and Grigg (amongst others) a fit Madden should do very well. Looks a stellar signing
