After reading Hall's interview think I am fairly confident of a good season, seems he wants to do well, and hopes the club does!

I'm sticking with wanting a 2 place improvement, year on year, so I'm hoping for a finish of at least 15th.
Not exciting, I know, but it does aim for promotion (eventually) rather than relegation.

I'd never want to predict automatic or play-offs. For a club like Chesterfield, we can't be jumping ahead of ourselves. This isn't to say that I don't think we're capable of it, I just don't want to expect too much. I would be very happy with mid mid table (12th). We can't say anything concrete though until we know the team.

Im more confident than i was before yesterday but i think ifwe can get 3 r 4 players in then im confident we can push for the play offs!!

Challenging for a play off place would be nice - 17th place would be a good season if i'm honest but I sense a higher finish!

I'm always confident at this time of year! This is where you're allowed to be blindly optimistic about your team's chances without the unnecessary distraction of results or performances to dissuade you.

Seriously though, I'm happy enough at the moment. Ask me again in a couple of weeks as a few more quality signings could send me off the deep end.
