Thought we played much more like ourselves tonight, to limit a side who have scored 86 goals this year to very little, did Tyrer have to make a save all game (penalties aside). A bit steadier finishing especially in the first half we would have got something. Gateshead are one of the better sides and could possibly go up with us. All this crap about poor side etc is typical of the trolls on here.

It’s interesting on here and other threads, no one mentions Grimes error which is probably the 4/5 time this season his bad decision has lead to a goal. There’s no doubt that he gives 100% every games but he is prone to make mistakes, anyone else is pilloried on here. Over the last two seasons he is the one constant factor in a leaky defence. I still think if he cut out the errors he would be playing at a much higher level.

The common thing in the last two seasons about our inability to stop teams scoring is unfortunately Grimes. He’s the one who plays every game, and is the darling of many fans, there’s no doubt he gives 100% but I don’t think he is the captain we need.
