The works is also a great shop for young kids, toys, books arty stuff and a “pocket money” section of items for £1 or 2. They’re cheap and nasty but tend to last as long as the interest in them does lol

Yes, the Works is a pretty good shop, and as you say, cheap too. I bought some watercolour paints for one of the step grandchildren from there but suffered the wrath of his mum after he redecorated the living room and half the furniture in all the colours of the rainbow, never again 🤣🤣🤣.

😂😂😂 Warfey will be getting hot under the collar, not sure it'll be leather though 😂.
All the shops you've mentioned I've bought from especially Stone Dry, and I still have a crombie, although I look less fashion conscious man on the pull, and more like a leftover from an East London gang who's lost one fight too many 😂😂😂. I had several pairs of Sta Press in different colours, but a girlfriend boil washed two pairs before we went on holiday, and Jimmy Clitheroe wouldn't have got in em 😁.

Mentioning Jimmy Clitheroe has brought back memories of Sunday lunch as a child. I used to listen to him on the radio whilst eating my roast beef and Yorkshire pudding lol.

The only time my dad insisted on total quiet was so he could hear Billy Cotton’s Band Show. Awful.

My brother always used to bang on about how he listened to Dick Barton special agent when he was young.
