Charlie Daniels signs for Shrewsbury.

I've often wondered whether there is a 'what might have been' story for Charlie at CFC. Only played 2 games before injury and then loaned to other clubs in our division so not, at the time, beyond our budget. Who knows what Roy Mac would have done with him had he steered clear of the injury and enjoyed life in Town?

I thought Roy Mac had gone by time we'd signed him, wasnt he a Rico signing?

One home game and then injured away at Swansea on a friday night IIRC?

just checked, roy mac got sacked between charlies two games!

Your right though, he'd obviously got some ability and could have gone on to be one of the top loanees weve had in the last 20 years or so, and we had a decent reputation for playing football and helping younger players develop.

Big drop for him mind, Premier league to League 1 in just over a year, although he did have a serious injury

Good signing for them. I liked the Guy, gave us pace,aggression and a threat up top.
Lacked consistency but hey thats why he was National League, but he gave us much more than weve got currently in this squad
