After 2 years I’ll no longer be doing Chesterfield commentaries. Peak fm couldn’t reach a deal due to something to do with the online rights. I’d like to thank every #spireites supporter firstly for how welcoming you all were when I took over the gig in 2016 from an established commentary team. It was a daunting task but you made it easy for me. Also for how brilliant you have all been in contributing towards the show every match day. Finally thanks for how nice you all have been when I’ve bumped into you in the town and around the Proact. It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to commentate on my home town club and I’m sorry it’s ended with a relegation. I’ll still be attending press conferences and covering the club with special total sport podcasts but I will miss describing the action to you all.

As for my Saturdays in the future, I’m on the search for my next challenge as I aim to keep progressing my career towards commentating on a World Cup Final! (One day)

Been a pleasure mate, being a regular contributor to the phone ins on my way home from away games to listening to the post match chat driving home from home games. Hopefully things can be sorted out in the future. All the best in your future efforts, whatever they may be.

Yes Trev unfortunately they’ll be score updates but that’s about it. We will continue to put Pre match and post match interviews out tho

Looks like the club and Peak cannot find a solution something to do with online rights ? I take it no further talks planned?

Thats sad news Joe. It's a shame things couldn't continue but Im sure youll move on to bigger and better things. You deserve it.
