It's Going To Wrong Very Very Quickly

The bench tomorrow is so untried it's a joke.
No options whatsoever, it could come together if we grab an early goal but if we need to chase or change a game we are doomed.
Why has Armand not gone on loan? No takers or our desperation for squad fillers.
Losses approaching 6 figures on 6300 average, concerts, 7 days corporate income, promotion and a wembley final? So to break even on the back of that we'd need a playing budget at £0.4m?
How much does this ground cost to service?
This year we get 4500 ST, with an 8% increase, an average 500 or so higher than last year just on away numbers, Richards Togwell Smith Cooper of the payroll, a sell on from Bowery big fee from Cooper and the budget is cut further.
It's a shambles yet again from the top.
The knives are sharpening in the S & D household.

We have loads of options
Armand for Doyle and or Banks for Boco/O'Shea.
We're in the proverbial clover

Its interesting about Paul Cook. He knew well before the start of the season his budget would be low, he knows what the players are on, and yet both him and CT spoke of signing a couple of quality forwards, and letting Armand out on loan. Was this a ploy to pressure the owner to put his hand in his pocket? He certainly is very touchy when the subject of transfers of players/new signings are raised.
IMO DA was absolutely right to put the brakes hard on spending, you cant allow losses like this to go on accumulating with no controls, but he now needs to ask some serious questions of those involved in the day to day running of the club.
While I can understand the contract extensions of some of players, who may well in the future have some sell on value, I would have to say that money from the budget could/should have been used to sign a player or two where possible. If things were going well and gates were up, the cash could have been there later in the season to offer extended/improved deals.
Cooper - IMO the wages freed up will be significant, and should allow us to sign a player, perhaps 2 if we are lucky.
Its certainly going to be a very interesting season.

That's it! I've had enough! I've just got in from work ready for the weekend and in a good mood and the first two posts I read on hear are complete doom and gloom.
I'm not a happy clapper by any means and like to think I'm balanced in my view on Town but frankly I don't need this negativity so balls to bobs board I'm off to be happy somewhere.
How I'd hate to have a mind that instantly focuses on a negative.......

Everyone on this board, nay, Chesterfield, has faith in Paul Cook. He can only do so much with the resources he has been given.

If you are going to back an away team tomorrow at 3/1 I'm sure there is much better value than Rochdale, looks an appalling price to me. If there is any value to be had in our match it's backing town
