Yeah I'm of the opinion it's time to go back to Palmer and Jones for a bit. I prefer Williams and Oldaker overall but they've not been at the races for the last 3 games after excellent form prior. We have a squad, so we should use it. I've heard Grigg isn't fully fit? Obvs swap him for Quigley if so. I'm assuming Berry isn't fit enough to start but would have him on the bench if he can play half an hour+.

Tyrer
Sheckleford-Palmer-Grimes-Clements
Jones-Naylor
Jacobs-Banks-Dobra
Grigg

Subs:
Horton
Oldaker
Mandeville
Berry (if fit, Hobson if not)
Quigley

Quigley for Grigg and that is spot on I think

A professional performance is needed more than ever tonight. Two out of the 3 possible outcomes tonight favour us. So a draw is great, a win is better but just don’t lose. 100% agree Jones needs to be in the squad to steady the ship.

Ok just make sure that Cookie knows that a professional performance is needed tonight.

So, you think the points dropped against Ebbsfleet were all down to King?

Then, from what I understand Sheckleford was poor at Bromley.

And, Sheckleford played again against Rochdale when we again dropped points and I struggle to remember him putting much in the way of crosses in even though he spent a good deal of the time in their final third.

King is by far the better attacker and has the best understanding with Mandeville. When they play together we only need those two on that side not a threesome as we had against Rochdale with Sheckleford, Mandeville & Banks.

Sheckleford shades it defensively and had more pace. I’d stick with him tonight because of that and play King in home games instead.

I didn’t say that.

My memory isn't what it was but didn't the majority of our better performances this season come with Mandeville at right back? I seem to remember thinking we looked a better side with him there when he had that long run of games there. Appreciate with Colclough and Berry injured he is needed further forward.

Anyone know if Hooper is still with these? Scored 2 at the Technique earlier this season and always seems to score against us.

He's not played for them since 16th of December, he may be one of the players they've got that are on the injured list.

Jones has to play, but he needs Naylor alongside him, so even though Oldaker has played well recently, I'd have him on the bench. I think Joe Quigley will start tonight, but I've been wrong before.

Brunt, dirty bustard, is playing well at the moment. He mustn’t be given any room to pick a pass. He’s a very similar player to Rochdale’s East, who came on as sub and single handedly got them back in it. Both very good at spotting a run.

They’ve got 5/6 first teamers out but have brought some good players in to cover. Should be a tricky game but I reckon we’ll shade it.

Agree with all that. Brunt has a decent strike on him as well. We need ro be back to our best.

Hopefully the 'experiment' of playing Naylor further forward has been abandoned. Having Oldaker as the sole sitting midfielder is no good for him, or the team.

Need Oldacre come what may. This will be an open game we need our ball players.
