The words "Released" or "Free Transfer" are the only words that Larkin should have at the side of his name.
Thank god his contracts up.
Carlton Palmer thought he was idle, and ducked out of the last 30 mins of games with pretend injuries.

or a Palmer quote?
"I've told Colin that's the end for him," said Palmer. "I need players with heart and desire and the young lads have got it. But I'm really disappointed with Colin. He told me he wanted to stay and I'm not accusing him of being a liar, but I'm not convinced about his injury. I never missed any games with a dead leg. He told me he wanted to stay and had a great game at Bristol Rovers just before the transfer deadline. Then he said he couldn't play because he was injured. So now I'm going to have to let him go on a free transfer at the end of the season, when I could have got some money for him."
Larkin owes Rico bigtime......about time he repayed him.

He ducks out of 99% of 50/50/ challenges.... Lacks in the passion stakes.
He'll go and score a hatrick now!

Thats what I have said for months.
People wernt complaining when he scored 2 against Oldham but for some reason our previous manager dropped him for the next game.
I believe he shows a lot of heart and does a lot of chasing down when the other teams defence has the ball which also shows comittment.
Give him a chance if he stays
Striker? NO - Winger/Midfielder? YES.

I personally spoke to Carlton when he came in to work. Basically he didn't belive he had an ankle injury and wanted him to play. He wasn't concerned with his attitiude or effort on the pitch just that he couldn't get him on it. The fact that he wanted him to play shows what he actually thought of him as a player or he wouldn't have bothered etc

These damn Journalists misrepresenting poor old Carlton
Do you believe as i do, its the end of the line for Larkin as a spireite?
All this debate about shoving the man in midfield? surely a proper midfielder would be better than making space for an out of sort striker?

I think his confidence in and around the box is shot to pieces, but I think now we are down he will get another year. Whether he stays or not we still need 2 target men to go with Ward if we are to make a challenge. Larkins running at the end of games could be useful against big defenders that have tired through games. Let's put it this way if it was a choice of Jackson or Larking I'd be happier if it was Larkin that was still under contract. He could end up back at Mansfield
