Why haven't the council baracaded a lane off infront of the town hall so the bus could pull up intront with the players still on, all those stood waiting didn't get to see them pull up as it stopped behind the town hall,

CBC couldn't organise a pyss up in a brewery

I've not been able to get there today, so I'm just happy to pick up that atmosphere from those posting. I hope everyone has a great time.

He was coughing and spluttering after the game yesterday and seemed to be keeping his distance from others.

I wondered too. Thanks for satisfying curiosity.
I didn’t hear Gary Roberts name mentioned. Did I just miss it or wasn’t he there either?

He’s run the London marathon today! Finished in about 3 and half hours I think.

Because it could have been so much better, rather than announce the team had arrived at the TH and then keep them waiting for another 30mins, if the bus had pulled up at the front and the players then got off, it would have made it even more special...

An opportunity missed by the club and council. Poor planning means that the fans missed out.
Could have had some burger vans or something, some kind of children's entertainment between 1:30-3, could have even had club shop presence around rather than touts walking around flogging voovoozalas.

Agree they are a complete shower who constantly get worse.
Nothing to do with today, but instead of routinely increasing council tax & parking charges & closing everything they can think of we never hear of any reviews of expenses or lavish salaries.

Also whilst I think today’s civic reception was fully warranted a relative who hates football wanted to know who was paying for it.

Yes wasn't it the council who helped save the club from extinction? Short memories some folk.

I was responsible for the traffic management for the previous 2 open top parades, I was not involved this time as I have been retired from the Council 5yrs. Today, was no different from those occasions, and was very well organised and pedestrian safety was spot on , especially the new barrier system at the front. The fans had a birds eye view of the players especially when they came onto the middle of The road at the end for selfies and autographs. The vast amount of fans on the eastside corner of the Town Hall makes it impossible for the bus to swing round to the right to bring it to the front of the Town Hall (it would have needed  the full width of the bend, pushing young fans further back onto a crammed pavement. Very entertaining and safe afternoon, well organised by CFC and CBC.

Nothing to do with short memory but more to do with some petty political beef in my opinion

Yes, and Dave was on a massive salary, so massive in fact that he had to slum it, living in a council house at Boythorpe, whilst doing a B****Y good job of raising three kids by himself.
