So very, very true, but it looks like Tommy would win that poll too, early days yet but he is already in front, 39.41% last season and already 42.86% after less than a hour! Have you thought any more about your trophy, I personally think it would be worth it but as you have to do all the hard work I understand you reluctance, just think of some of the names that may be on it after ten years or more? :)

Interesting developments after 20 votes cast so far we have:-

1. Lee 8 votes 40%
2. Trotman 5 votes 25%
=3. Allott 3 votes 15%
=3. Talbot 3 votes 15%
5. Morgan 1 vote 5%

Who would have predicted that, no striker voted for as yet not even Jack, only a goal keeper, defenders and midfielders voted for, with our defensive record, and before you ask, no Morgan isn‘t a striker, is he? Is it going to be a straight fight between Lee and Trotman?

P.S. Didn’t mean any disrespect, just that Morgan is a midfielder, in my opinion, sorry for any offence it was not intentional.

I would be more than happy to get the perpetual Trophy/shield etched with this year's recipient, but I don't know where it is. It was supposed to be in the Trophy cabinet in the foyer but I've never seen it in there.

After 51 votes cast so far we have: -

1. Lee 21 votes 41.18%
2. Allott 12 votes 23.53%
3. Trotman 6 votes 11.76%
4. Talbot 5 votes 9.8%
5. Morgan 3 votes 5.88%

After only one day we are starting to see one name pull out in front of the others, just like last year, but the surprise is the number two position, with the stick Allott gets from some sections of this board, it also seems he has his supporters as well, will it continue? Clarke and Bowery have both received a vote each, so we finally have strikers beginning to show their paces, but none so far for the legend that is Jack, or the hero of Wembley, Westcarr, why?

As for the trophy, is there anyone with connections to the club, who comes on here, who can prise the trophy away from Tommy, we can then get it to Johnny Spireite 7 so he can get it engraved. Only two home games left to arrange all this, and to give him time to get it done so it can be awarded at the last home match of the season? :)

Any volunteers or ideas for the presentation this year?

I would like to say a big thank you to Johnny Spireite 7 for doing this again, traditions have to start somewhere, and who knows how big this could get in the future, so here’s to the “Second Annual Bob’s Board Player of the Season Award“, long may it continue. :)

A message for the two members who have voted for the “Another” option on the poll, if you wish your vote to be counted you need to add the name of the player you voted for in the ”reply” section of the topic, otherwise we have no way of knowing which of the 17 players, that I could not fit in the section on the top, you have voted for. It has a limit of 20, so as we have used 36 players so far this season, I had to think of a way for the others to be able to be voted for, and this is the only way I could think of doing it. It will have to work on a honour system from our members as only the people who have voted “Another” should be he ones who should reply, it wont be hard to see any infringement as the votes for “Another” should equal any names listed, so please don’t mess up their chance to have their vote count. :)

After 60 votes cast so far we have: -

1. Lee 24 votes 40%
2. Allott 12 votes 20%
3. Talbot 9 votes 15%
4. Trotman 6 votes 10%
5. Morgan 3 votes 5%

Although Lee is still way out in front, interestingly the player with the best % raise is Talbot with just over a 5% increase in his share of the vote. Bowery is just one vote from equal 5th and if the “Another” votes are for the same player, so are they. :)

After 69 votes cast so far we have: -

1. Lee 28 votes 40.58%
2. Allott 13 votes 18.84%
3. Talbot 10 votes 14.49%
4. Trotman 6 votes 8.70%
5. Bowery 4 votes 5.80%

A new entry at number 5, with some well earned regard for the effort he has put in this season, in my humble opinion.

After 72 votes cast so far we have: -

1. Lee 29 votes 40.28%
2. Allott 13 votes 18.06%
3. Talbot 10 votes 13.89%
4. Trotman 8 votes 11.11%
5. Bowery 4 votes 5.56%

Slow voting, only difference is one vote for Lee and two votes for Trotman, so no change to the top five. The biggest surprise to me is no votes for Lester, Westcarr or Ridehalgh yet.

After 79 votes cast so far we have: -

1. Lee 31 votes 39.24%
2. Allott 15 votes 18.99%
3. Talbot 11 votes 13.92%
4. Trotman 8 votes 10.13%
5. Bowery 6 votes 7.59%

No real change percentage wise, but Bowery is now clear in fifth place and closing in on Trotman, still only 79 votes cast compared to 204 last season so a lot could change yet. :)

2. Allott 16 votes 19.28%
3. Talbot 11 votes 13.25%
4. Trotman 8 votes 9.64%
5. Bowery 7 votes 8.43%

An increase for Lee, Allot and Bowery, with Bowery only one vote from equal 4th place, will his crucial goal on Saturday bring him any more votes? Still no votes for the legend that is Jack, has his injury hit season hurt his chances this year? Will Tommy dominate the vote from first to last, just like the previous poll, who is capable of challenging him?

After 87 votes cast so far we have: -

1. Lee 33 votes 37.93%
2. Allott 17 votes 19.54%
3. Talbot 11 votes 12.64%
4. Bowery 9 votes 10.34%
5. Trotman 8 votes 9.20%

And we have a change in the running order, with Bowery overtaking Trotman into fourth place, and now closing the gap to Talbot, with Allot seemingly consolidating his second place…..so far! :)

Starting to get exciting?

Any news on the trophy? We are running out of time to get it to Johnny Spireite 7, so he can get it engraved. :)

Slow voting, only two more votes added since the 18th, are you all waiting until you see who scores the winner that keeps us up?

4. Bowery 10 votes 11.11%
5. Trotman 9 votes 10%

Slow voting again, only one more vote added since the 22nd. Bowery clear in fourth place again, and the recipient of only vote added. No votes for Moussa, after the last two games he has had, you cannot be serious, unless the two votes for “Another” were for him, as the people who voted have still not added their reply so they can be counted. :)
