There are still a lot more clubs not put out statements about it than have said something so we are not alone in it.

It would be pointless and just a gesture of disapproval in all fairness.

You also have to remember this was on the agenda for ages and the EFL were hoping to give up replays for PFL cash so they don’t have much moral stock anyway. They are just miffed it is no longer part of this ongoing (or stalled) negotiation.

Hopefully the government will sort out the PFL but I have no faith.

Do the National League have an AGM?

Regardless of a few bizarre claims on another thread the management of NL do make some mind boggling decisions, not consulting with its members on this subject is about as crass as their distribution of the governments covid funding.

Would the constitution allow for searching questions to be asked at an AGM?

COVID funding and not forgetting the paltry sum that both last year's National League Play Off finalists received from a day out at Wembley. Despite requests to the National League, I hear both clubs are still waiting on information covering income and expenditure for the fixture.

You don't need to be much of an expert in these matters to appreciate why Mark Ives and the National League are somewhat cold when it comes to the involvement of an Independent Regulator. We can speculate as to the reasons why.

The transparency of the NL is well, very untransparent. Its a pity some up and coming investigative journo doesn't try to enhance his career (who was that guy who had it in for anything CFC a few years ago?) by delving into the underlay at NL HQ. There must be plenty of scope.

There was the documentary about an hour long available on YouTube where a couple of journalists looked into the handing out of the covid money which ended up with not finding a lot as none of the NL lot would break ranks or talk to them.

Can you imagine the uproar and the media coverage it would generate if the funding in the Premier League wasn't distributed correctly? As Jon has said, the only coverage is that YouTube documentary which was shared on here when it was released. I thought the National League closed ranks and in doing so did their best to demonstrate a closed shop.

Do you mean Graham, formerly of the DT? He didn't have it in for CFC. The club provided him with plenty to go at and an outstanding job he did of covering the issues.

No, my memory seems to be failing, the guy I mentioned being with a national paper maybe Mirror or Mail. He certainly gave us some unfair stick and also received plenty on BB. It'll come to me eventually unless someone puts me out of my misery.

Whatever happened to 'our man' on the NL Board?

Do you mean Harry Harris? He was the journo at the Mail/Mirror who did all the negative stuff around the Brown years, meanwhile David Conn who is at The Guardian who was on our side.

Premier League chief executive Richard Masters says the football calendar is "getting to a tipping point" with the amount of matches teams are being asked to play.

Well, who’d have thought it. But let’s scrap FA Cup replays first.

Stop the money making 'friendlies' between PL Clubs in far flung reaches of the planet then?

Seem to recall he is a Brighton fan so had a vested interest.
