Playing in that position brought out the best in him today.

He was for me the MOTM. Best game since his injury in the JPT final

Banks was my MOM as well. Played some excellent passes out of a very tight midfield. Very controlled performance.
Novak and Dimaio showed great energy whilst Chris Herd, also, did well in his short time on the pitch.
Thought John was a little uncertain early on but grew into the game, however, he did seem to allow too many crosses to come in from his side of the pitch which he might have cut out. Other than that, I feel, he will prove to be a good acquisition going forward.
The defence, in general, lacks height and had a very testing time against some very tall players.
Nevertheless, Danny seems to have introduced more spirit into the squad and, slowly but surely, a number of players are showing good levels of improvement.
Noticed Gardner wasn't on the bench today - any reason?

Could it be because he is pants.
Not possible to name a MOTM because too many played extremely well.
It is easier to name a few who didn't have a good game. IMO Mani obviously, then Drew , he got skinned too easily too many times and misplaced several passes.
We desperately need a good right back.
Jay O was anonymous too often and I hate saying that as I really rate him.

We've seen the worst and best of him this season. Sheff Utd was probably his worst performance since being here, today was probably his best in a town shirt! Onwards and upwards Olly!

Lets not get carried away, we beat Crewe, we had to otherwise it was pretty much curtains on the season. I'd expect all our players to have shown they were better today.
Biggest surprise for me was Mani coming on. I dont actually think he controlled the ball effectively in the 15 mins or so that he was on the pitch for. Abd can someone sort either his boots/studs, and/or balance as he speny much of those 15 mins on his backside - terrible

Thanks Goku. Gardner's not in the best of form, started the season well but has gradually gone backwards. However, for me and with what we have, Gardner is the best to bring on if Gboly isn't doing it.
Did think the bench looked a bit stronger today but we remain short in numbers whenever RH is sat on it.

Ollie Banks was, without doubt, man of the match. It is performances like that, that remind you why we bought him here in the first place

Fitness seemed to be way above what we've seen before. Maybe sitting in that holding roll suits his style and doesn't necessary mean he's covering a larger area.
