I thought when it was mentioned the squad were going to Hungary id misheard and assumed that the club had decided to stop feeding the players during the week as a cost cutting exercise...

I expect if we have got a game in Budapest it will be under similar arrangements as Luton, or perhaps Ross County but it would be nice to know for those of us that fancy the trip !!

The unlikely scenario of playing a top flight side looks out as their season starts 17/18 July

I note the Club statement announcing the signing of Evans asks for media privacy to allow Ched and his team mates to concentrate on a very busy pre-season schedule, yet the only first team friendly announced is the annual trip to Matlock, the testimonial match v Derby being a legends game 2nd half.

In light of all the controversy that surrounds Evans and this signing, I'm not sure there'll be too many clubs willing to send a team over for a pre-season game. I think we can kiss goodbye to Turner's plans for a big 150th anniversary fixture.

The rumoured SWFC 'friendly' will be interesting. Evans will be in the firing line from the off!

am sure Alan Biggs tweeted earlier that Leicester were to The Proact, too.

I'll be honest it got lost in the furore of todays anouncement but sure i read it.

Also, I assume he'll not be allowed on the pre season european tour?

I can't see why he won't be allowed on the tour, it's effectively designed for new players to integrate

Given he's now awaiting trial, I didn't think he'd be allowed to leave the country?

Also, is he still technically serving his original sentence still? or would that have been terminated with his successful appea?

He's on unconditional bail which is only right as he's served his sentence if found guilty again
