People should send the clubs twitter an facebook pages pics of them enjoying the match at Friends or in the pub.

Can't see many enjoying the match no matter where they watch it with the way we're playing

Isn't this game on an international break. With all the talk of protests will the club take a hit on the TV money and save embarrassment (and no keeper?) and seek a postponement?

Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

believe me, ground bans have already been discussed for much less, including some contributions on here!

Anyone in particular? Do tell.

As it stands I'd happily see it postponed.

I think Chris's idea is the best one. Get behind the team, enjoy the football if possible, but boycott concourse, 50-50 draw, and club shop purchases, and all club organised functions.

No mate, never work. Firstly enjoying the game is never going to happen as we will get mauled and the modern day fan base don't get behind the team when we are losing (remember UTD game last season) and fans need a beer and to numb the disappointment and frustration of what's been served up on the pitch and like a cheeky go on the 50/50 in attempt to claw back some of the well earned money they waste watching this shower...

I say we just go for an old skool riot
We 8 Mansfield oh we 8 Mansfield!!

I personally am not interested in any protest which results in Danny or the team mistakenly thinking I tar them with the same brush as the Deedahs. 'Deedahs' is a nice collective noun as it distinguishes the group in the Board room whom I blame from those I don't.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Absolutely. Lest anyone forgets- Danny is a self confessed 'pie eater'.

Thing is - if people start chucking stuff on the pitch and stewards ordered to chuck people out for doing it, it will end in banning orders for loyal fans. You can bet your bottom dollar the Big Cheeses will flex their muscles on that one!

They aren't going to ban thousands of supporters.
And they can't single out one or two for doing it and not punish the others as that is blatant discrimination. Could easily get away with throwing things on the pitch if enough people are doing it

Well, chuck something on the pitch and see. I think if that happens it will be the luck of the draw if a steward just plucks whom ever out the crowd and they get banned. Obviously, they won't march everyone out the Kop- but there will be a few unfortunate ones that will be to set an example IMHO

Imagine the carnage that would cause. More hassell than it would be worth.

But at least their fans are principled enough to make some form of stand, not just idly do nothing and carry on blindly supporting a regime they don't agree with.

I'm not sure it's the time for protests just yet. I think if a few of our brighter posters got together and collated some very sharp and pertinent questions at the agm and give the "deedahs " the opportunity to answer first.
Yourself, freeland, 60s70s, and Roman Numerals seem to be leading the way with information and background knowledge so perhaps you guys ought to be the representatives.
I'm thinking of gts burning bridges articles and then looking back and thinking of how Haslam asset stripped MTFC once they started protesting, and how Norton Lee knowingly sold to a penniless Brown once protests started here and thinking maybe fans ought to be careful

You'd think it'd be easy to go through the accounts line by line

Control the controlables

Maybe we underestimate how much that stadium costs to run, I'm sure they've looked carefully.

Vanity stuff such as the soft play, do the club pay for that sort of thing?

Maybe it's just not viable.

The errors were made when compiling the initial budgets before the stadium opened, the revenue forecasts were pie in the sky

It's crazy to suggest these losses are going unchecked, they must be pulling their hair out trying to plug the gaps.

Maybe it's just not possible

Put a dog track around the side, they seem to make money

I'm not sure I agree with that, because the first year in the new ground with sub 6000 gates the figures were OK.

It seems our opponents on Saturday are a bit further down the road protesting about their management and have had banners confiscated. Saturday will see a 'free speech day.' protest.
