So Where Did We Win Previous Titles / Promotions?

The last in Cook's previous time was won at Burton but can't remember the others. Where was Sheridan's title won? Where was Law's promotion won?
In 1985 I remember a pitch invasion against Rochdale at home in what must have been the last match and my mate falling on his ass when he clambered over the wall - I stayed sensibly on Compton Street. Presumably it had already been won?
Whilst I don't recall where 1970 was won.
The other promotion in the 1990's was of course a Wembley play off.

85 was won the previous Saturday away at Peterborough I believe
The Law one was won at Brighton away midweek. Earlier that afternoon they announced the points deduction (11 points was it?), had the points deduction been harsher we wouldn’t have confirmed it that night, we may not have gone up at all.

Correct me if wrong, but wasn't Law's promotion confirmed against Kidderminster, then we had the points deduction, and beat Halifax at home in the final game to secure third spot?

2010/11 was by virtue of Torquay and Wycombe drawing nil nil on 22nd April (Good Friday), we drew away at Oxford on Easter Saturday and then lost at home to Bury on Easter Monday, title was last day of the season v Gillingham
2000/01 was very hard to tell, though I'm sure Phil Tooley mentioned the actual game on the Sky is Blue Podcast, it looks like the points deduction was applied on 3rd May (2 days after Brighton away) which left Hartlepool 3 points behind us but not able to reach us due to GD so technically the last home game against Halifax, however there was probably another game earlier where we did it prior to the deduction being applied?
1995 at Wembley
1985, I think Hereford won it for us without us playing?

In 1970 we lost away at Crewe on the Friday night and Wrexham lost the following day giving us the title. I have written about these promotions in my next two articles for the match day programme.

Hull failed to win at Southend from memory on the night we lost
I’ve still got Ryan Williams shin pad that he threw into our end

Indeed, but which game did we confirm promotion. I thought it was Swansea the game before in front of 16000+ (the original fixture fogged off) but that would render that stat about not winning promotion at home since the 30s wrong.

Long before social media but on Crewe Station waiting for our train back.
Someone made a phone call and established Wrexham had lost at York and the title was ours.
There was a party on Crewe station !

I think it was the 1-1 draw at Exeter on April 7th, combined with Brentford's defeat at Grimsby that night, that confirmed promotion.

Why do I renember winning promotion at Stockport (0-1) and the title clinched at Peterborough in '85?

We won 1-0 at Stockport but our promotion wasn't mathematical until Hereford lost 2-1 at Chester the following midweek. The championship was secured on May day with a 0-0 draw at Peterborough.
