Anyone had chance to watch the interview on Youtube with Ashley Kirk?
He comes across as a very switched on and passionate individual. Like him more every time I hear something from him.
Definitely, worth a listen as they cover next seasons plans etc.

Great interview, Amazing to have two genuine town fans onboard looking after our club. Looking forward to the new floodlights.

Among all the other stuff in there listening to use the term "town fan" shows how close he is to the club as a fan himself. You certainly didnt hear the likes of DA and Carson use that term.

The brother are very good aren't they? Things won't always be a rosy as they are now, but they are a breath of fresh air and deserve the support of the Town. Fingers crossed he gets his wish of 5k+ ST holders, looks like we are at about 3k so far.

They both certainly come across as professional, responsible and enthusiastic. Is this really Chesterfield Football Club lol? Feels like the club has truly moved up a level off the pitch as well as on it.
The greatest miscarriage of justice since my case against the producers of the Never Ending Story

Yes and let’s not forget, their experience of actually running a business. All his talk about ‘culture’ and creating the right environment for the people working there tells me he knows his stuff on getting the best out of people.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Its a great listen and i love his enthusiasm for everything on and off the pitch. I must admit i can't remember a time when the club felt in better hands.

I've just finished listening.

When you consider the stinking cesspit we were subjected to, this is a reminder of how decent, genuine and professional people behave.

A video of the Solihull Moors home game from 5 years ago popped up on the timeline last week and I had forgot just how bad attendances had got. After watching it, I mentioned to a few people that we allowed it to go on for too long. Ashley Kirk's latest interview reaffirms my view.

This sh*t has to stop. For a second, I detected glimpses of optimism and joy 😯

And before you hit me with a hundred negs, yep it's absolutely fab 😍 Got my season ticket and am so looking forward to next season.

And I got my fancy dress and am looking forward to making Wealdstone smile on Satdee 🥰

Good interview without saying anything new

Best part is the togetherness and transparency.

I don’t know how it could have been stopped sooner tbh, there was simply nobody interested or who the previous owners would sell to until the trust took over and it was DA bankrolling the losses

Enjoyed listening to it and I feel both the Kirks know what they are about.

I believe we are in good hands and will go about our business quietly and confidently, not rush into things, but put the building bricks in place with a view to season on season improvement both on and off the field.

As fans, we need to be patient and not expect too much too soon. Despite that, with these owners, our managerial staff, the basis of the squad we have which is to be added to, I reckon there’s quite a possibility that we could be challenging the play-offs next season.

I really enjoyed the interview with Mr Kirkham, he seems a true SPIRITE and has, like all fellow SPIRITES, enjoyed the POSITIVITY that has flowed into the SIM stadium.

fully agree on this, i also feel with these guys in charge that should the day ever come when King cook leaves us, they will have a plan in place to recruit properly and not done on some after dinner speech/scattergun type appointment. hopefully that's a scenario we don't need to think about for a long long time

Clearly apart from putting money where their mouth is, they’re astute businessmen and are doing their best to maximize the financial returns from any potential source whether it’s in merchandise or PA even though they know deep down that managing a football club is a loss-maker but as fans they’re doing their utmost to put CFC back on the map.
Behind the diplomatic replies about the current squad I expect some additions to bolster our defence next season and with it I hope a change in tactics when the need arises before and during a game. As AK states PC obviously has great qualities in man management but it has a limited life on its own in my opinion for long-lasting success.

Just watched. Great interview and what a ‘normal’ bloke he seems. I don’t want town to go bankrupt chasing sub standard managers and players, I want a sustainable community club that my kids and grandkids can enjoy like I have since 10/9/88. He certainly gives the impression that community comes first.

It got him up into the championship by winning the league one title. If that's his limit then I'll take that every day.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Love the guy! His enthusiasm and ambition is infectious. I just hope we can dig deep and get him to his target of 5000 season tickets. That would be a massive boost
