I think Naylor wil just edge it ahead of Grigg and Dobra but it’s a sign of the season we’ve had when you can make a stong argument for 5/6 players.

I do expect Mandy or Grimes to the win players player of the year (do they still do that?) as their contributions to the team will be far more recognised amongst the players than the fans.

Also, I don’t think I’ve seen a mention of Colclough who before his injury was statistically the best player in the division and amongst the best in two divisions above also!

Naylor for me most of the season, dropped off near end but what he did and his most goals ever did it for me

Naylor - basically above the level he’s been playing at.
Grigg - goals.
Mandeville - goals and assists
Tyrer - stability between the sticks.
Jones - doesn’t play in losing teams (last few weeks excepted when they’ve packed in)

That would have been my top 5….

To be honest, I'm struggling to pick a top starting eleven. We've been so dominant no matter who's started or who's been on the bench. I'm glad it's not me who has to sort out a squad for next season because I wouldn't know who to get rid of.

Shows the leap in progress and excellent work by PC and his team over the past couple of years, from not having or not wanting a POTY vote to trying to decide from at least 6.COYB

I think if colclough would have played a few more games he’d have been right up there. Most effective player in the division for me

I'd have the top 3 as Naylor, Jones, Grigg in order.

He's one of those players who are worth the entrance fee all on their own. Get the ball to him and he makes things happen, just as Dobra does too. Exciting players put bums on seats, and I don't think it's any coincidence that gates are on the up with these fellas in the squad.

Think Naylor will win it but I voted Grigg.

He’s started the same number of league games as Jones and come off the bench 4 times as many times as Jones (according to Soccer base) yet Jones appears in a lot of peoples top 5.

Whoever wins the player of the year title will deserve it because,of the eight or so vying for said title, have played out of their skins. Tyrer, Grimes, Jones,Naylor, Dobra, Colclough, Mandeville and Grigg have all contributed so much to our successful season. I've no doubt missed someone off who is just as deserving as the others but I'll be happy no matter who wins.

That's because of what happens when he doesn't play. I think Naylor edges it with Mandeville and Jones equal second, all in terms of influence on the game, rather than individual brilliance.
Would include Grigg for his goals and movement, but can't see all the fuss over his hold-up play. The way we play, the ball travels upfield by easy stages - no need to hold it up for the others, they're there already.

Folk should be aware we won 9 out 10 successive NL games without him from the end of November to the beginning of February. The one defeat, at Solihull, he played in.

Jones has been great this year. Makes a massive difference to the team when he starts. Apart from the Solihull game up to winning the league hadn’t we won 18/19 he started?

Nearly all true, now 18 out of 21. I’m uncomfortable that he can be talked of as POTY when he’s played less than half our games this season.

Yes agreed. I’m a massive Jones fan but he’s just not player of the year

I wouldn't be too surprised to see Jones as Players POTY. As has been said, his appearances missed may be a reason why not. He's my POTY though.

Which bit want true? Though I do agree he shouldn’t be POTY when there are many others

As above, we’ve won 18 out of 21 now, not 18/19 as you posted.
