Pretty much agree.
Quigley an interesting one, personally I don’t think he’s good enough. But we will need to pay big dollar for a top quality replacement, are we ambitious enough? I hope so.
I think there is a player in Hobson, but to compete we need more immediate quality.
Horton is interesting, but not good enough defensively.
Banks on his day is a match winner, but on another can be a luxury.
Not convinced with Boot.

Is he, when did he sign a new contract, as his current 1 expires this yr?

Nothing announced but he said it himself before Fridays game in an interview on 1866

We can’t just release most of them as theyre under contract so your back into the costly process of paying them off.

I really hope this Palmer rumour isn't true. Any idea where this came from?

It would an absolute nightmare. Retaining the majority of what has been our achilles - 60 goals and counting :o

I thought I did mishear as nobody confirmed it on here Friday, but if I did mishear then so did my mate that I sit next to at home games. Is Tooley browsing tonight?

Cook must have handed out another contract on the Q.T as he only signed an 18 month contract.

Wonder who else has signed up without an announcement

Of course whilst we all want to see strengthening the Kirk’s may think we’ve got enough to be solid in L2 in which retaining the current squad in full with a few loanees might prove more appealing business wise. Cutting the cloth accordingly after successive loss making years.

Hope not. But it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that we may not see signings if we can’t offload some

I wonder if he might have triggered an appearance based extension?

If that was the case why not announce it like all the rest?

When did Palmer sign a new deal? When he joined he signed for 18 month which runs out this summer.

Takes me back to that legendary nut case poster RPL42Years who was adamant you could sack players on the spot after a poor performance.

Letting in goals isn’t necessarily just down to defenders and a goalkeeper you know. Most of our concessions have started way further forward by losing the ball in poor areas with full backs committed forward under instructions.

There are suggestions that we may play a pragmatic game in L2 and we'll need to with these defenders. We just need better and to colour it any other way is ignoring the obvious.

I think it’s pretty common knowledge that discussions about recruitment started pre Xmas. I would have thought ex professional footballer turned multiple promotion winning manager may have noticed said flaws. Don’t you?

Not so sure now but if you think this CBs are good enough for L2......
