Just getting back on topping topic:

Although its seemingly is becoming the 'norm' to withold transfer fees, particularly in the lower leagues, I'd still like to see us declare agent spend periodically.

Does anyone know, the youngsters who are currently out on loan at various places, do they count as part of the 22 outfield players allowed in the EFL or are they counted as under 21’s?

If they’re not counted, I make it 21 outfield players currently with 6 potentially out of contract at the end of the season. If they are counted will some squad trimming will be required?
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Wonder when decisions will be told to players 22/04 looks likely Monday after the last game

There is a "meet and greet" with the players and staff at the ground on the evening of Monday 22nd, so one or two might be missing if that's the case.

By my reckoning he should also be in the NL team of the year (if they have one), along with Naylor, Grimes, Colclough, and Mandeville.

They do. King and Colclough were in the ‘team’ last season. They also have a player of the year, ‘twas Macauley Langstaff then.

If they were under 21 at the start of the calendar year (ie Jan 24 for the 24/25 season’s squad) then they won’t be counted)

Academy players Alexander Duhameau, George Wilkinson, Sam Hooper and Archie White were given pro contracts and then went out to Matlock early season although only the first two had much game time. I reckon they were aged between 17 and 19 when offered the contract so should not count to the 22 if extended. I also think Chapman is under 21 but as he’s a goalie, he doesn’t count to the 22 anyway.

I also reckon we have 14 definite outfield players under contract plus Jacobs and Palmer who are rumoured to be. Boot is obviously a keeper and doesn’t count to the 22.
