Tyrer - another season would be great.
Boot - retained.
King - released.
Sheckleford - retained
Palmer - released.
Williams - retained as squad player.
Grimes - retained.
Freckleton I'm sure there's better out there.
Clements - released.
Horton - released.
Maguire - retained as squad player. Likely to be released anyway.
Mandeville - retained.
Oldaker - released.
Jacobs - retained.
Colclough - retained.
Hobson - retained as squad player.
Dobra - retained.
Berry - retained.
Curtis - released.
Quigley - released.
Banks - retained as squad player.
Naylor - retained.
Jones - retained.
Cook - released.
Grigg - retained.

I realise a number of these are not out of contract.
However if they could be moved on the squad next season would benefit.

Just my opinion and no doubt I'll be slated for it.

Would certainly like to se Oldaker and Quigley go but I fear we are stuck with them.

Oldaker and Quigley to go. The last 6 matches have proven that they just aren’t good enough.

Agree on other releases. Probably add Banks to that list too.

Too many passengers. We don’t have sufficient strength in depth up front and less said about the defence the better.

The only one I would be questioning with your list is Banks, had high expectations of him this season, only my opinion but I don't think he has delivered.

To be fair you’re harsh on Palmer.
I’d have him here next season.

Spot on assessment. Don't know who gave you a red but I took it off for you.
I am sure PC knows what is needed to compete for next season and feel confident the Kirks will back him.

Hobson retained but loaned out, no way is he anywhere near league 2 level at the moment. One day, hopefully..

We can’t just release most of them as theyre under contract so your back into the costly process of paying them off.

Or you find a club that needs someone similar and negotiate a release/free transfer.

Or we transfer list them and get a small fee. Most have been in and around a squad that’s absolutely walked the NL. They will be attractive to teams staying in or joining the division.

Agree with the list but would move Banks on as well.

Palmer maybe a squad player but we need some legs in midfield attack and defence!!

glad you started this thread as we were talking in the pub about who has played themselves out of the reckoning next year.

of the above list i would move on:

king - best days are behind him
clements - better full backs out there. his game today showed what the issue is.
palmer - been far too exposed this year at this level.
freckleton - now been tried at centre half and left back. not good enough
banks - holding out for a 2 year deal. not in a million years.
oldaker - squad player at best but release
curtis - looked a little boy lost today and offers little

priorities are a centre forward, a central midfielder who can take the pressure off jones and naylor (who looks exhausted), central defender with pace, cover for right back and a left back. (and tyrer resigning)

Your talking about a complete dismantlement of a squad that’s walked the league…..

Hortons under contract as are Quigley and oldaker I mean I’m not employment lawyer….

A dismantlement of the squad, not the team, maybe. I'd agree with most of the above.
