Anyone actually going to this tomorrow night?

Doesn?t look like we?ve shifted many tickets, less than 1,000 by the look of it.

Assume the late additions of Hewitt and ONeil are to try to shift a few more tickets.

Presume we?ll be making a loss on the night now!

The lack of actual celebrities is an issue I suspect. I?ve opted for Springsteen at Sunderland instead.

Surely Sean O?Neils getting on a bit now?

Hope the liability on attendance is on the promoter not the club. Can't imagine the Kirk brothers being that naive.

For celeb type matches you surely need celebs which are familiar to kids and teens to draw a decent crowd. Half of the players are Love Island 'celebs' of which only some teenage girls will know of. This was a loser from the start.

I try to support many things laid on by the club, but this one has absolutely zero appeal to me.

No appeal to me, either. I can't say I've ever seen an episode of any of the scripted "reality" stuff that some of the players reckon to be in, and haven't watched a soap since Dirty Den emerged unscathed from the canal. Not everything will appeal to everybody, but any low gate might tell a tale about how much influence these so-called "influencers" actually have.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

First I've heard of it, which doesn't say much for its publicity.

Just checked the official site and there is a brief article, scant on any details, and the mugshots of several men, two of whom I think I recognise from Eastenders years ago. No clue about the rest.

These go to eleven.

Yes, appreciate that, hosted by the club would been a better choice of words, either way, its of no appeal to me.

Sort of seems like a bit of a throw back to the last concert needed more attractive line up . Lack of known faces generally seemed a problem from the start . I know 3 Callum Best and two ex EastEnders . Not sure adding Hewitt and O Neill will help and now the weather will stop some more . Hope the celebs are working for charity and they still make a couple of bob . Europa League final for me tonight

Its a money raiser for the Trust, but presumably they have to pay to get the 'celebrity' teams to appear?

I can see any of them giving their time to raise money for the Trust for free?!

Ah didn?t realise it was for the Trust. Seems a risky take.
Many clubs have an agreement to allow their ground to be used for minimal cost for a charity game.
I?ve worked on loads - always a decent way to get a taste for interns etc.
I did SoccerAid years ago. The players obviously get paid a fair whack for that (in my day they were on something like ?50k (that?s one of the fees back then I heard of). Obviously that sells out a stadium though.
I did a YouTuber thing at Wembley (EE Cup I think it was)- sold 50,000 tickets - Ferdinand and Gerard played but were pretty much ignored by the crowd as they were there to see YouTubers and gamers etc!

50k? For appearing in a charity match? I thought they might get a couple of grand and a nice hotel etc but at 50k that seems a daft waste of money by the charity. Surely most of the 'celebs' would play for much less.

This was aocceraid which is a big eventz also big commitment - daily training for 2 weeks (may have changed a bit since but it?s not uncommon to pay for the talent.

How did it go?
No one ever goes for the football - they could usually scrap the game and have a meet and greet for the same effect

It?s been pushed on social media a lot which is where a lot of the target audience spend most of their time!!
