And I think we were involved in the very first one when we played Cambridge in the 4th division play off final
It still rankles that we lost 1-0 to a Dion Dublin goal from a corner that should not have been given in the first place

First one at Wembley but the playoffs had been played home and away before that.

The slightly annoying thing about tonight is that, not too long ago, Northampton was a guaranteed six points every time we played them. Thinking about 1994 😡🤬 and our current plight. But on that day at least the Mario Brothers rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in...

1986/7 was the first year of the football league playoffs. They were played on an home and away basis up until they moved to Wembley in 1990. Aldershot actually beat Wolves to win promotion in the equivalent to what is league 2 now!
