Sutton are leading 1-0 with a goalkeeping howler by the Pools keeper
As things stand Sutton will win the league

Sutton are the worst bunch of players I've seen for falling over and crowding the ref wanting every tackle carding. To think they are going into the football league is just sickening.

To go up next season we need to be impossible to beat at the Technique, and try to emulate what the Hartlepools/Sutton’s on this world did to us at our place, nick a goal and shut up shop.
You also need to beat the Wealdstones, Boreham Woods of the world at home too.

good that gets rid of another team with an advantage plastic pitch to play on , harrogate last year , sutton this , should not be allowed a distinct advantage to play on

I think they will struggle personally. Not much of a fanbase, and the ground will be IMO one of the worst in the league. Not really much but of an incentive for players to buy into.
They will be back down in 5 years I reckon.

Spot on. Biggest set of cheats and moaners in the league. Is this what it takes to go up ? If so it's depressing.

They'll pay higher wages so there's your incentive.

Or ground share. The plastic pitch is a big income earner for them.

Strange that. Maybe we should put one down? We beat Bromley and Sutton on their plastic, and lost to both on our turf. LOL

Isn't the EFL considering allowing 4g as of next season in League 2?
You're right about wages too. Sutton is an affluent area of London.
Or ground share. The plastic pitch is a big income earner for them.

Just watching Forest Green in the L2 playoffs - if players are prepared to play there, they’ll play anywhere if the Wonga is worth it

Suprised that grounds allowed in league 2, even without the plastic pitch. CAnt see how they can re-build if in a few weeks

At least Sutton are a long standing non league club, not totally manufactured.
Kevin Ellison scored a picture book goal to get Newport back into the game at 3-0. I wonder if he’ll come back to haunt Morecambe at the age of 42. Perhaps we should’ve tried to sign him when he was a youthful 38 year old
