I See the forums busy 2nite 2 say theres a big home match against Bristol City, theres about 7 of us in the forum now whose saved their hard earned. 3-0 down allready, the saltergate faithful singin what a load of rubbish, I think we all made the correct decision 2 give it a miss 2nite. I`ve given up already, if the board, management and players don`t care why should the fans?
See ya`ll at field mill next season

Shambolic at set pieces again and no threat up front.

No doubt about it they were a good side, fast on the break with good movement. They will go up. A very easy night for them

We were however woeful. The game was over as soon as the first one went in.

Ernie we did not look like doing qot til Jackson came on then he was on his own most of the time,
Chief was useless so was all the midfield they could not pass water tonight,
Bristol came to play football and in the first half they made us look like a pub team.
Roy as not got a clue 3-0 down at half time 2 strikers on the bench and we bring 2 defenders on whats that all about.

I think we are just clutching for something positive to take from the game with Jackson. We were certainly better with him on that we had been in fist half. Most of what he created though was from deflected balls or mistakes by defenders which he made something from with his pace. When in possession to go at the man he still struggled to get past the man and got pushed off the ball easily. His pace did get him to where he could put a few good balls in though and he was certainly the sharpest of the strikers by some way.

To say we let 3 goals in Downes/Grimaldi looked ok., everyone else was outplayed. Men against boys, had they pushed on they would have scored some more. Saturday is now the most important game of the season, it is simply a MUST win game, but to be honest I can't see us scoring

We had 10 players back all the time, gave them acres of space and loads of time,Roche couldn't be blamed for any of the goals,i thought the third was offside...

all the goals he has scored have been important. and he's scored 5 must be of some use. He's more of a holding player now than out and out striker

lets face it with a strike force like ours, defenders must be terrified to play chesterfield

allison games 11 +(22 sub) 5 goals
shaw games 21 +(2 sub) 3 goals
larkin games 23 +(9 sub) 6 goals

Chief is the guy who holds up and heads the ball on to the other striker who is there to bang the ball in the net. I assume being a true Chesterfield fan Sammy the spire and positive omen you went to Carlisle away and based on that performance alone how can you say he is useless. Only players who play with any desire to win recently have been Downes Seb, Barry and Chief.

sorry alex got to disagree about how important his goals have been this season.last night at 3-0 down, port vale last min when leading 2-0 in last min, brentford away claimed goal in game we lost millwall we would have won without his goal and charlton goal own goal to me but still lost on pens .Hes not won us many points with his goals as he . lol
