There are some people on these message boards who cannot wait for Town to fail so that they can bask in their own glory of being right that Town would go down.
Town are my team, and whilst I'm praying that we will stay up and will be extremely dissapointed if we go down, I'm not gonna jump on the website and rubbish the management and the players. Some people have been doing this for weeks and cannot wait for the next loss to drive up the tide of negativity with their messages on this board.

I'm sick of it, I don't see how they can expect a team that was, only a few years ago, on the verge of extinction to be put together with any amount of money?
Whilst I can understand constructive criticisms and suggestions which take into account the reality of the situation we are in. I hate the kind of gloating, look at me I'm right, "I told you Mac was crap", isn't it great I can prove you all wrong, kind of mentality.
At times like this when things are hard, its time to stick together rather than massage egos about how much of a great football pundit you are because you predicted our downfall.

Discussions about folded arms, Who cares about what position someones arms are in?
Turning the back on our club?? please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why do 'fans' like this exist???????????????

I don't think ANYONE wants relegation, I certainly don't but with the lack of investment on a playing staff which is probably 5 players short of a side that is able to even compete in this division then it's always going to be hard.

The squad we have here can more than compete in this division, its the management that's the problem. Since we sold Folan we have been left with a 38 year old to win all the headers up front. Surely its obvious that we need another target man !!

The major problems we have are motivation, and our inability to defend set pieces! We arent that hot, when we have a set piece either! Is this the managements fault or not? My feelings are it is, others will disagree, but thats what this board is here for.

I dont think anyone wants relegation, but if it happens it will take a long time before we play in this division again.

I agree, Folan has not been replaced, Allison is an old pro and we know what we are going to get from him. However you do have to ask why Folan was not replaced during January, it was obvious we needed someone with a bit of experience. Larkin & Shaw have failed to live up to there own ability. Shaw has done well in the past for other clubs. Larkin scores in spurts and just needs the confidence, which is not going to come without a partner....

saying we go down is an easy prediction, if it happens then your right, if we stay up the moaners can say we we're lucky or it was a fantastic turn around for all fans. predicing us to stop up is harder. if we do we do, if we dont not only are we wrong but we will be visiting rushden and diomonds next season. its so easy to predict the worst, because if your wrong no1 cares

People on here dont want relegation, but now people are more optimistic that we are going down because of recent results.

If we do go down, then people on here will say "I knew we was going down", they aren't then go and have a party about it are they.

(Im not on post 666 now!!!!!)

The point is that the club/board seem to only want to stay up, this makes the managers job harder because fans don't like that because there's no chance of promotion and thus fans don't turn up week on week for likely defeats.

Did you go to Tranmere?

Well I did and believe me the players and manager let us down once again. Enough is enough, tolerating mediocrity isnt supporting the club in the longer term. By accepting mediocrity it you legitamise it.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Nobody 'accepts mediocrity', though some seem to find it where it doesn't exist. A mature and realistic person accepts that most performances will not be top quality and some will be downright poor. It's the nature of the game of football from the top right to the bottom. Where that sensible person departs from your distorted vision is in recognising that the childish desire for gratification at all times has to be balanced against the factors lined up against us - small town, small club, no money. It's called growing up.
And please, stop pretending you're doing something useful by simply criticising everything to do with CFC in the guise of not accepting 'mediocrity'. You had your chance to make a difference if you were really that passionate, and you didn't want to know.

It isn't necessary to name names. The analysis is perfectly correct - supply the names yourself.

Allegedly Barry Corr from Sheff Wed is training with the Spireites with a view to a loan signing.

Not very prolific though, no professional goals to his name. ;)
